Resurrection Ship Location Rules Clarification

By E b_bot, in Battlestar Galactica

Hello, I haven't found this question on the forums yet, so here it goes:

The last game we all played I played Gaius Baltar, since I was near last to go and Tyrol was already taken and I like Baltar. So, in any case, I get dealt my loyalty cards and get two cylon cards at the start. So, I reveal later on and then use my Super Crisis because it was convenient to use it at the time.

However, I decided next turn to give my unrevealed card to someone else by using the resurrection ship location. However... an argument arose in that I didn't have a super crisis card to discard, thus I couldn't use the second part of the location.

How is this location supposed to be played? Are both clauses separate or are they linked?

The game you ask? I ended up having to play as the only revealed cylon with no one else coming to help... almost still won though (the humans had 1 fuel left). In other words, this descrepancy made the cylons lose.

So far in the five times I've played I have been a cylon 4 times, and have been on the winning team four times except this last time.

The points are not linked. You only may discard a Super Crisis. It does not say you have to. This is the way FFG tends to word things. When they say may, they mean if you want to.

As my group understand the location it has 2 things you can do exchange supercris card or give one loyalty card to another player no need to dump any super crisis card to make that happen.

Absolutely. You can pass your 'excess' loalty card (be it Cylon or non-Cylon) to another unrevealed player without the need to discard/exchange your Super Crisis card..

Pity you didn't beat those treacherous humans..
