If it's good I'll admit I was wrong happily, I'll settle for okay 7/8 out of 10 but having seen star trek getting ruined I really can't help but fear this new movie will be as bad as the prequels.

I expect it to beat the prequels, but fall short of being a worthy sequel.

A thread discussing leaked pictures of space soldiers helmets is not particularly conducive to discussing religion or history in a neutral and academic matter. Because of this, I have reported the thread and will post no more. I apologize to the other thread members for my part in this derailment.

You are certainly entitled to your beliefs and may even post them freely. I do ask, however, that you do so in a courteous manner. Many reasonable and intelligent people--far smarter than either of us--have examined this "single source" (with multiple authors) as well as Tacitus and Josephus, exploring their historacity. If they can conclude that the discussion is worth having, I dare say that we can follow their lead. It seems silly to need to ask for even this basic respect on a forum about toy space planes, but evidently it must be done.

Good lord I'd love to see a TIE Defender. As for the vong, no. They've been removed entirely, thank god. No offense to fans of it, I just always found the galaxy-threatening-organic-faction thing just...Just way too silly for Star Wars, and that's with a sci-fi that's riddled with wizards and swordsmen. There is a threshold. And yeah, the Imperials are definitely still the boogeymen.I mean it's not like they didn't have a galaxy-spanning Empire or anything.

Jesus is pretty real, especially to those that have survived horrific paranormal events. When I say horrific I dont mean sound coming from pipes or cold wind causing floor boards to contract making weird sounds. IM talking about stuff that will mentally scar you forever because you so "them" and / or they physically hurt you leaving damge to your body.
