A new type of Storm Trooper for Ep 7 hase been leaked online. It looks like a mix between Storm Trooper armor and a modern steel plate suit of knights armor. This trooper looks to be pure silver color wise.

Could this be a Mark 4 or 5 Dark Trooper? Maybe its the more rare Inquisition force user hunter Dark Trooper, mk 2 or 3 naturally. Or somethink new. Ether way it looks cool..

I forgot to mention it could be a mk 2 or 3 Rad Trooper...

The article I found about it called them Chrome Troopers and hinted that they may not even be Imperials but some private security merc type group.

There is a reason they most likely are not just reg Storm Troopers. We have seen what Storm Troopers look like in Ep 7, or at least the helmet. When you got troopers that have very diffrent looking sets of armor they tend to be a specialty Trooper of some kind. The only way these Silver Storm Troopers are just reg Storm Troopers is if the Imp forces we see using both the new ep 7 designs are slowly phasing out the trooper that we saw months ago with the traditional colors, and there replacement is the pure silver kind.

Just a possibility but they could be a evolution of Nova Trooper as well. Wont know till the movie comes out.

Thers also the chance these troopers are silver for special effects reasons and will be changed in post pro. In that case they could be a cloak trooper, assassin trooperr, Scout Stealth Trooper, Storm Commando mk 3-4, or my fav Imerial NAVY Commando mk 3-4.

I wish I could post it but there is a picture of one with better detes showning off the neck guards.

I red that the cloak is not part of wardrobe. Mybe inbetween takes the person in the suit has to wear a cloak to protect it from stuff...?

Neck guards look like popped frat boy collars a wee too much for me... So unlees he's off duty or in a ceremonial role it strikes me as too silly for a uniform look for actual boots on the ground.

I don't know what to feel about the new helmets. Sometimes they look cool, other times they look way to TRON Legacy. Also, Chrome Lord has that tiny eye slit AND he's wearing a hood? He really doesn't like field of vision does he?

So we get Michael Bay to do the action scenes, Abrams does the rest of the direction, Disney writers work with the original writer (Not G. Lucas, the real original writer) and Bruce Willis to be Bobba Fett's long lost son Dingle Fett, what else? I'm okay with this.

On topic, the new helmet look makes me think he's going to get plenty of clean shiny modernized look in the films and thank god. As long as he doesnt take it to the level he took Star Trek modernization.

Ooh shiny! They look better than the Stormies do. Knowing how JJ doesn't seem to care about the canon, and natural order of things, this might be some sort of Mandalorian crusader commando.

To each there own. If these guys do turn out to be those uber rare Inqusitor Dark Troopers they will need those guards to prevent easy head removeal action via Jedi or othere enemy force user group.

They could be anything but another type of Trooper they could be is the Imperial Guard Trooper. During Darth Sidious rule they were all red. The person in charge of the Empire may have had there colors changed...?

Watch it be none of the above its just a fance sculpter that will be destroyed in a fight scene.

Well, at the good news if the movie sucks this will at least give Screen Junkies some good material to make a "Honest Trailers" video on YouTube. Plus we can have Doug Walker do a Nostalgia Critic on the Ewok movies for Star Wars month.
