Match: Felicia 4(Daniel) vs. Alex 3(Eric)

Felicia 4 can send a string of attacks and practically take down anyone in one turn if set up right. Alex 3 is capable of constantly gaining health thanks to running off of life. Another key factor playing for Alex. Constant shut down of momentum thanks to slim and athletic. Because of lack of momentum, Curse of Immortality, An End to it All, and Reincarnation Magic were rendered useless thus destroying Felicia's main method of damage killing. One key factor to Alex sustaining his good health was constant use of Tough Outer Shell, Reprogrammed, and his character effect which guaranteed full health in a matter of 2 turns. Not even Tiger Furry Slap (Tiger Fury) could shut down the constant health regain.

Some of us are trying to get things started here in Tulsa OK. How long would it take for your drive up here now and then. Another thing was when I looked at the gameshops in Lawton they didn't have any regestered games posted for a long time. So are you all a casual group or just do in store tourneys?

Talim? Life?!

Now I kinda wanna go just to see what kinda shenanigans is this?

I doubt I'll be able to make it, but it sounds pretty cool. Keep us updated!

We're still working on getting more people in. The tournaments are open to anyone who shows. We're gonna start posting the dates of our tournaments now here on the forums so we can get more people. Tulsa is quite a ways away but when I get up to edmund for school I'm sure I'll run by looking in tulsa to test you guys out.

Since the 3rd anniversy event we got a small but steady play group again. I hate to say before things died down from the military decided most our play group needed to live someplace else, but it's up again. I'll have to see about posting the scheduled tournaments now. A-kon also had 2 of our players busy that weekend with another recently getting a new child.

I was the guy who used Alex 3 on life. I oringally made the deck with Yang, but against a little control to slow the deck down his 19 health wouldn't stand up and ol' Alex 3 just always been a good character and had built in card draw or life gain but I kept Yang in the sideboard in case I ran into any decks with damage redux. The deck did better with Alex 3, my oringal idea was Yang, commit a tough outer shell for speed boost then I could enslave or whatever and enough life gain to weather out my opponent's turn. During league Iceage70 handed me 3 straight losses in one afternoon with the deck so I made some changes, higher damage attacks I could scrouge up for life, changed a foundation, finally switching to Alex 3. Looks like it paid off cuase it looked like he would have beaten me otherwise. Iceage70 forgot to mention since I was using life there was plenty of speed buffs but the attacks themselves weren't hitting really hard. Alex 3 on life has tremendous staying power, lots of speed but not big in the damage department.

If it weren't for Alex 3 card draw and the decks life gain I'm not sure I could keep up with the attacks Iceage70 was throwing out. Granted I didn't see what his deck was fully capable of as I didn't let him gain enough momentum to, but the few times he was able to get some it didn't go well for my vitality. I learned what the deck needed more of after the losses he gave me the week prior in league.

David - his block 1 version of the same deck you had to be careful as he is known to pull out a 10+ multiple of slice and dice with it. But this version was seeing combo cards from shadowar in it, he's the first one in the play group to understand and ultilize combo enhances. My denial of momentum to him hurt his deck as well.

Bradley - I didn't play against this time around.

Kenny - Totally unprepared for the speed buffs and had difficulty blocking anything.

It can take like 4 hours if you know where your going and doing the speed limit.

**Update**

Round 1 continued

Quick Correction - Kenny is running Zi Mei

Match: Ragnar 2 (Ty) vs. Talim 4 (David)

David's Comment: PWNAGE!!!

Ty's Comment: First fight was failure on his part, Second fight was utter pwnage.

As said by David, first fight was a rebound and win and the 2nd fight was utter pwnage. Because every other character in the tournament was taller and heavier than Talim, attack buffs were shut down completely once Talim gained a momentum and foundations. In fight 1, Ragnar managed to get Talim down to 2 health in turn 2 but talim then rebounded because Ragnar could not get any foundations on the field. Talim then hit Ragnar for a full 30 health in turn. Next round as David put it was total ownage. Tiger Fury played as the 4th card in the card pool destroyBoth rounds went to David.

Match: Akuma 6 (Brad) vs. Zi Mei2 (Kenny)

Daniel helped Brad's Akuma deck to run more smoothly and attack without chance of checking a 2. Zi Mei's problem was the fact she was unprepared for the speed buffs and had a hard time blocking. Brad normally stuck to Akuma's character card ability which placed a -4 on the control check of a card. Akuma's main card in use was Adoration and Kung Fu Training leaving Kenny unable to block his attacks. Both rounds went to Brad.

Round 2

Match: Felicia 4 (Daniel) vs. Akuma 6 (Brad)

Brad had Akuma's check destruction on his side. Daniel had a mass onslaught of attacks and damage reduction on his. Both fights were drawn out due to Akuma constantly placing negative checks but Felicia simply found ways of getting back good foundations with tag along. Around turn 3, Felicia had enough foundations to run full on assaults each turn. First she'd start off with 3 to 4 attacks, 1 almost always being Tiger Furry Slap (Tiger Fury), and then thanks to Felicia's Form ability, placed each card in her card pool to her momentum and allowed for more foundations to be played. When could not get any attack buffs on the field and each attack he placed down got reduced down to one thanks to Curse of Immortality and Reincarnation Magic. The final turn started off with this combo. Form ability An end to it All. No more reaction abilities for the rest of the turn. Tiger Furry Slap (Tiger Fury) followed and left Akuma at 4 health. 2 Tag alongs to bring back 2 more tiger furries. Clear card pool, Tiger Furry Slap equals pwnage. Fight 2 went even faster.

Match: Talim 4 (David) vs. Alex 3 (Eric)

David's comment: Alex was ******!!! Eric was the GHOD of TOMFOOLERY!!!!

Eric's comment: No momentum shuts down Talim. LOL!

Because of Alex's Slim and Athletic, no momentum could be gained on either side. For Alex that wasn't a problem in the least. For Talim that was a HUGE problem. No momentum meant that her damage reductions and buff stoppers are no longer a factor. 1st Fight turned into Talim not putting a dent in Alex and Alex destroying her. 2nd fight turned into a chip battle with Alex coming out the victor.

Match: Zi Mei (Kenny) vs. Ragnar (Ty)

First fight was close as said by the players. Ragnar used too many negative buffs to gain attack and Zi Mei dodged a few and then was hammered by 3 good attacks leaving her at 3. The fight ended with Zi Mei laying down the beating after taking a beating. 2nd fight wasn't as close as Zi Mei used her stun abilities. Ragnar could not gain a good amount of foundations. Both rounds went to Kenny.

Round 3

Match: Alex 3 (Eric) vs. Zi Mei (Kenny)

Eric's Comment: Kenny was uprepared for the speed.

As stated by Eric, Zi Mei could not stop the speed buffs and each round went to Alex. Zi Mei was unable to put a dent on his health.

Match: Felicia 4 (Daniel) vs. Talim 4 (David)

Daniel's Comment: I got momentum now. In other words, PWN3D!!!!!!!

David's Commet: DOUCHERY to the Max!!!

First fight went simply, Felicia doesn't have foundations, Felicia gets killed. Fight 2 and 3......TIGER FURRY SLAP TIGER FURRY SLAP TIGER FURRY SLAP FTW!!

Match: Ragnar (Ty) vs. Akuma (Brad)

Ty had to leave. Brad wins.

Correction:

Ragnar lost to Akuma. Ragnar could not get passed Akuma's check destruction which lead to not too many attacks being landed on Ragnar's side and Akuma hitting hard because of Ragnar's lack of foundations.

Yeah yeah wait til the next one Ice i will crush u with my Wind and u should be denied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mawhahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Well we are brand brand brand new players in Tulsa. We dont' hardly have anything but some modified starters. I ordered some cards but I focused on earth so I'm not much of a threat. So if you want to roll through it would be good to get more experience.
