List idea: No dice for you!

So, been though I just picked up Rebel Aces, I felt compelled to give Ten Numb a look over again.

Thats the core of the build. I dont have the cards in front of me right now, so i dont know the cost and what i should add, but what do you guys think? Thought about having opportunist on Numb as well, but I'm not sure.

I've been using Ten Numb with Etahn. Etahn turns one of the hits into a crit and Ten Numb pushes it through the defense. It's been working great, especially when I put VI on Ten Numb and he deals with Phantoms. I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone else think of this yet.

I also throw in Wedge, too, as he works well with both the others and has high enough PS to deal with Phantoms.

I've run VI Ten with Etahn before. They work well together but I found it a little limiting. I put AdvSens on Ten, and Engine Upgrade. The idea was that if Ten is there to kill a phantom, then he needs to make sure he can get it in his arc, so you may need to roll or boost before or after you move. It made Ten super mobile, but if he is using his action to maneuver, his attacks were nerfed. I mean with 3 red, he's averaging 1.5 hits with no actions to modify his dice. If Etahn has the target in arc that's 1 crit that the dice can't cancel, but an evade token can. So Whisper could just take an evade action, force me to spend my action to reposition, and then not sweat Ten's shot too much. With Whisper's 2 green dice he will probably get an evade, and then use his evade token to avoid the crit. And Ten with Autoblaster, no thanks, not for the 5 points (I'd rather put Merc Co Pilot Crew on the B instead, and save 2 points, or maybe gunner for 1 point more). I'd rather shoot 4 dice at R1 and let the defender defend. It's not easy to get a phantom at R1 reliably.

I dunno, I needed a way to get VI Ten a reposition action and an attack action. Maybe FCS instead of AdvSens, maybe. Or maybe Kyle, but that's an expensive way to get him an extra focus. Shrug.

I'm surprised no one uses Ten Numb with Marksmenship.

Ten with Etahn is great, don't get me wrong, but those two are expensive. I want to try Ten Numb with Marksmenship, Experimental Interface and FCS

Farlander doesn't let a crit through. The whole point was to have Etahn and Ten Numb pass crits to ships without a chance of them avoiding. Have 4 evade dice when cloaked? I can still stick you with one. Have Fat Han and no shields? I slip you a crit.

Marksman can work, especially if I wanted to avoid using Etahn. Hmmm....

Ten may make a [crit] uncancellable via dice but it can still be cancelled with tokens.

When used Autoblaster may make [hit] results uncancellable via dice but allows [crit] results to be cancelled first.

Combined, it actually makes the odds that a [crit] from Ten get cancelled go UP as any Evade tokens can be used on that first and any dice results can be used on any additional [crit] results.

Ten may be interesting but I would not try to build around uncancellable [crit] results although have a way to get that is nice.

Keep in mind that Ten Numb's ability works against defense dice, not evade tokens. PTL interceptors will be able to bypass the ability (focus, evade) and I believe that most Fat Hans include the millenium falcon title, which will also rack up an evade token. Phantoms can also use the evade action.

I met the same combo a few games ago, but they did not even scratch my phantoms with stygium particle accelerators (free evade token).
