Single Player Tag Team Format? Already one out or not yet?

In retrospect to DoA, SC4, KoF and Tekken Tag Team Tournament (T4?!) my roommates and I wanted to make a single player Tag Team format that seemed appropriate to the other fighting games and this what we've come up with thus far.

Have a standard deck of 60 minimum cards and have two characters, both of which bear the symbol(s) of the deck, one of which you start with and the other face-down under the first playing character. Follow with the standard rules of drawing your handsize and the beginning vitality, playing of any cards following resource 'strictions.

When attacking you make the control check and have it be successful the standard procedure occurs; attack declaration (r's), enhances (r's), block (r's), damage (r's), reversal (r's). However the offending player may not switch characters until the attack has gone through successully until after the damage step and the defending player may choose to 'switch' to their team member and play the reversal from that character for that reversal on the offender's turn for the cost of 'x' momentum, 'x' equaling half the printed difficulty of the reversal and the same standard rules follow up with reversals after successfully blocking.

After those go through and done the offending player may respond after their attack, or after the returning blow, to switch to their partner for the same cost; discard 'x' momentum where 'x' is equal to half the attacks printed difficulty for their next point of offense or they may remain as the character they have.

If blocking against a Multiple copy(ies), when the block is successful you may respond by switching to the teammate and 'disrupt' the rest of the multiple copies of the oncoming with a successfully checked reversal and your opponent discards the multiple copies after the one you have blocked and they may to proceed to block the oncoming reversal. If the reversal fails it's control check then the rest of the multiple copies are unblockable and all damage amping enhances are reduced by half.

When switching characters your current vitality switches to accordance of that characters' current vitality when last used. When a teammate is in 'rest' they gain 1 vitality every one of your own Ready Phases or you may switch your characters by discarding 1 momentum then your handsize is changed for that turn to the character you switched to until your next Ready Phase if you choose to swap again

Using any character specfic cards, standard rules apply; you must be that character currently to either use or play that ability/card. Same applies for resource limitations.

So um... don't know if there was an 'official' play format for tag-team gameplay but my roommates an I came up with this one and have had loads of fun with it, so far my favorite pairing is of Adon:: and Mignon* using Air and one other is Taki:::* and Soiree* using Void that my roommate came up with... but I know thus far there are possibly many issues with this kind of format, but I'm trying to think it out thoroughly and work with so that it's balanced more and more but I would like all your help to correct my thoughts on this... though of course if there is already a format like this then I have one word to say; OOPS

always wanted to say this at the end of posting; "Discuss?"
... or if it's that bad then, "shun me"
