Destroyed my defender

By force kin, in X-Wing

I accidentally dropped my defender model and didn't realize until after I had run it over with my car, braking it into about a dozen tiny pieces.

I'm going to try and glue it all back together. I've never been too slick with things like finicky gluing.

Tonight, I'll give it a shot and the derpfender will be born.

Do you reckon a well- written letter to ffg might yield me a new model? Seems silly to have to buy a new one in the likely event I can't glue the thing back together in a reasonable fashion.

Pictures can't hurt. Make it as sorrowful as possible. Humor might also be appreciated.

Busted the whole model... just buy a new one guy.

You act like someone either rich or someone without wife and kids. :)

you ran over it with your car?

Well the defender is awful so maybe it is an improvement!

Sounds like someone just scored a new Debris Field...

I think that's the first time I've heard of a defender being one-shotted!

Pictures coming after work.

Volkswagen tires are OP, need to be nerfed

Why do you say the Defender is awful? I'm loving mine. It might not be meta-changing as the Phantom, but I would definately not call it awful.

As for the pictures, what I meant was to include them in the emial to FFG. It will probably help you. After having said that and the fact that you are willing to share, I'd love to see them.

This is where you pull out your dice and show them the busted up model and say" See this? Don't roll well and this could happen to you."

:)

Sorry to hear that...

Try with the letter to FFG and see what happen, maybe they give you a new one.... hope so

Accidentally knocked a CR 90 over onto mine. Yeah, the CR 90 won.

Your car? Geez, that CR90 must be huge!

Dude, no, make a debris cloud! Just mist some cottonballs with glue, black paint and throw the pieces in. Heck you could make multipe if the pieces are enough.

Make it into a "defender debris cloud" and sell it online.

It's not FFG's fault you broke it, so why should they replace it? If you accidentally shot up your car with your TIE Defender, would you expect your car to be replaced for free by the manufacturer? (Car analogy FTW)

Obviously we're hypothesizing about a car without 3PO in it, right? If he were, according to the forums, there's no way that defender would stand a chance.

After sewing all parts togheter, you'll need to run an electric current through it, while screaming at the same time "IT'S ALIIIIVEEE!!!".

But beware... it may turn on it's creator (you) at any moment...

Pictures, please.

I'm going to try and glue it all back together.

Especially if you manage that.

Well at least you have an extra Preditor card.

Glue the bits onto a Predator to turn it into a Prefendenator! Badass.

Heresy.

Besides, even our cruisers can't repel horsepower of that magnitude!

I will have to say that FFG 's customer support is totally awesome...I have seen a lot of threads where they have always gone above and beyond ....

FFG were very kind in replacing my interceptor and TIE/ln after my friends dog chewed them to bits. If no pieces are mangled though you may well be allright with superglue.

One of my A wings engines broke off during play and that was easy to glue back in.

edit: aaaah i missed the 'run over by car' bit, i imagine its fairly mangled and grazed as well...

I've got to see how it turns out in the glued together fashion too. Add the parts to an advanced and you might get one decent ship. Vader's advanced defender. Vader with a HLC would be way OP though.
