Keyan Build. Suggestions?

By Parsaver, in X-Wing

I was thinking of trying this:

Keyan Farlander (29)

* Push the Limit (3)

Biggs (25)

*R7 (2)

2x A Wing Prototype Pilot with Proton Rockets (40)

or

Keyan W PTL/ B-wing E2/ C3PO(36)

Biggs w/ R7 (27)

3x Bandit Squadron

Thoughts?

Normally, I wouldn't field just three ships without a Falcon, but last night I wanted to test my Aces and was feeling brave. I went 2-0 with this list in the league at the FLGS:

Wes Janson

++Veteran Instincts

++R3-A2

Keyan Farlander

++Opportunist

++Heavy Laser Cannon

Biggs

++Hull Upgrade

Wes locks them down, Keyan does huge damage, Biggs protects. If you are careful with Biggs, you can get them to spread out damage a little bit and keep all three ships up longer. Like I said, I am generally hesitant to run 3 ship builds, but I was quite impressed with the damage output from this list.

If you're going to run Keyan, make sure you have a plan for how to deal with Ions. They will wreck you and leave your expensive ship out of the fight.

Most of the builds I fly against with a turret/ion cannon are supporting a Falcon. The idea is Biggs does what he does and gives the A-wings a change to drop a couple of 5 dice proton rockets at him. that and another Bwing attack from Keyan (with Target lock and his ability) should put a hurt on him quick. If I can get him out, then I could focus on out flying the turrets and support ships.

I'be been using a similar list to this on TCO and Vassal the last couple weeks. It does well in the current real life meta, but it can't handle Dash and Decimators.
