Fellowship Event locations?

By Acrux3, in Player community

The Fellowship Event is only two weeks away. Does anyone know if a list of event locations will be posted soon? I can't find anything recent on the site - the last announcement looks like it was the one to FLGS encouraging them to sign up

At Paris (France), the event is scheduled the 11th October with 28 players.

I think the only list will be one the community makes up.. although FFG should send out an official list so people can see what's up.

Yeah, it is sadly difficult to find such events if you don't already know of one. I think this is the major barrier to gathering new players FF faces with any of their games.

Hi Folks!

I haven't seen a general announcement from FFG about which stores were approved to host the Lord of the Rings Fellowship 2014 event the weekend of October 10-12, 2014. Can we compile a list in this topic? Please list the location, time, cost, and maximum number of players. Include a link to the sign-up, if there is one.

I'll start:

October’s Fellowship Event for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a chance for players to come together and share their appreciation of the game as they attempt to navigate the treacherous turns and trials of a special, all-new scenario. The centerpiece of October’s Fellowship Event is the new, standalone scenario, Fog on the Barrow-downs. This fifty-five card scenario, produced by FFG’s in-house manufacturing, comes complete with seven quest cards and forty-one encounter cards. During the event, players will play through the scenario in groups, and each player who participates will walk away with his or her own copy!

I'm going to one at Games of Berkeley in CA!

We're using Fellowship Sphere Frodo for this and Old Forest right?

We're using Fellowship Sphere Frodo for this and Old Forest right?

That's an interesting question. I was planning to use a hobbit deck with spirit Frodo, so I may need to rethink that. Did the Old Forest use the Fellowship Sphere Frodo?

I assume campaign mode will use fellowship Frodo but you can play it normally without him otherwise it wouldn't actually be a standalone print on demand pack. I too was thinking about making a deck with Spirit Frodo before I play it on campaign and can't use him ;)

You can play this scenario in campaign mode and you need to use Fellowship Frodo.

If you play it standalone, you don't need to use Fellowship Frodo ;)

That doesn't make sense though because you use fellowship Frodo when you're playing the other saga scenarios even when not in campaign mode

You don't need fellowship frodo if you play the scenario standalone.

One good reason is that it is difficult to impose each player to have the first saga expansion or each store to have just this card from a previous expansion for the event.

You shall see but i'm sure that in the setup phase a text will explain that in standalone mode you don't need to play fellowship frodo.
