Well, the nesting question should have been asked when rebel aces came out, as using the second action to focus for jake is the same effect as ptl into ei.

keyan could handle that much stress. here goes
no stress--
adv sensors
ptl
ei
green manuever
fire
stress free. use expose to boost that attack too.not terribly fast, or maneuverable, but it can kill 2 stress in one move by itself.
note: thats a 46 point keyan, with 3 action per turn, and stress to shoot with.
might pair with a dash or leebo pretty well.
Yes a 46 point Keyan with negative 1 EPT slots....
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. Did I imagine it in the FAQ?
Nope, still there. Unless my copy is special...
Push the Limit:
Free actions, such as a free action granted from Squad Leader, can trigger Push the Limit. This can result in an action interrupting another effect, causing that effect to finish resolving later. For example, if a ship performs a free barrel roll action granted by Expert Handling, it could use that action as a trigger for Push the Limit. After Push the Limit resolves, Expert Handling finishes resolving.

What will you be using EI for? PTL uses the action bar, EI uses actions granted by upgrades.
Tycho
- Refit
- Test Pilot
- Experimental Interface
- Push The Limit
- Expert Handling
32 points, and an absolute beast with actions..
For real lunacy, swap out expert handling for Daredevil.
Hard 1, Boost, Daredevil, then target lock or evade to taste...
This is still a question?
This is still a question?
More importantly, was iPeregrine banned?
I didn't see the date on the thread, came up to a post of his from September, with the name greyed out..

we must have missed that when we looked, my bad. Got no complaints then

Whoops, guess that combo doesn't actually work. Oh well. You can EI an advanced sensor action from a card that adds stress, and then make it all work and negate 2 stress, but that's not the point of this thread.
Honestly, the nesting thing does not bother me at all. This combination is really only useful for one Pilot and that is fine. I love the idea that FFG is coming up with a timing solution on the game as it's always been a part of the game that needs to be addressed.
Wow! So according to Frank. You get these stress after the end of your moves. I' have never played it that way. Seems very powerful. Yorr and other stress removers will get way more use now.
Not necessarily, some abilities have stress built in as part of the cost. Fel for instance. If Yorr intercepts the stress, then there is no focus for Fel.

Now that is an interesting question...

This will get a little hard to define/track won't it?
Not if FFG wises up and implements a stack.

Not really. The terminology is pretty clear. Fel says "When you receive a stress token...", Opportunist says "you may receive 1 Stress token to..." This is different from the wording on PtL and similar abilities, which says "Do X. Then, receive 1 stress token." For Fel's wording, getting the stress is the trigger - no stress lands on him, no trigger. For Opportunist, it's effectively part of the cost, if you don't get the stress, then you don't get to do the rest of the ability.
It would be nice if the templating were more intuitive, but once the distinction is recognized it's not that hard to tell the different abilities apart.
