Is Porkins the Ultimate Opportunist?

By TMinus9, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So I was tinkering with a list, and I came across this dilemma.

If Jek Porkins has Opportunist and takes a stress to roll a second die, can he then wipe that stress and add another? Potentially indefinitely adding dice until either he is dead, or he's killed the target with sheer attrition?

Seems too good to be true, but I couldn't find anything in the FAQ or the forums that address this specifically.

Thanks

It would work fine, so long as you could avoid blowing yourself up in the process :)

Bah. Total misread. Ignore me.

FWIW, I took this as a "Can Jek still use Opportunist if he ditches his stress", as compared to Yorr. My bad.

"When attacking" triggers once per turn. You will only be able to add one additional Attack die to your dice pool.

Not precisely. It triggers once per attack.

Agreed.

Yeah Corran can get two "when attacking" opportunities every other turn.

Of course, he also needs to find a way to clear the stress between the first and second attack.

Plenty of other opportunities (pun intended): Gunners, Cluster Missiles, Yorr... Doesn't necessarily relate to Porkins, but the double attacks for Opportunism are relatively common.

Thanks everyone. I assumed that was how it worked, I guess it was just wishful thinking.
