Just wondering if anyone has thought of useful crew combo's for the B-Wing, with the upcoming Aces pack.

I think that Ten Numb coupled with Merc Co-Pilot and an HLC would be quite good - Fire the HLC at range 3, roll 4 dice, flip them to hits, and flip one back to a crit that can't be canceled.

I'm also chewing over the effectiveness of 3PO on a B-Wing. For much the same reason as the Fat Falcon is popular at the moment, throwing 3PO on a B-wing will make it much more survivable.

Once Rebel Aces comes out, you can use your Ten Numb card as a book mark, or put it in your bicycle spokes. There will be no reason to take him over Keyan.

I want to try out Intelligence agents on Blues to make them better brawlers, and I'm considering the Jan Ors crew, too. Could be great for B-Wings, which would love to have an evade token now and then, and if Biggs is in the squad he loves the evade token even more.

It may not be competitive, but I would like to see a "Backseat Drivers" List with some combination of: Jan Ors, Katarn, Lando, Leebo, Han, Nien Numb, Dash etc. in the back seats of 4 B-Wings.

Now that I think about it, Dash Rendar on an AdvS B-Wing could be very annoying. You could maneuver behind asteroids and take shots that don't get obstructed, meanwhile shots coming at you do get obstructed. With AdvS you can then just BR right out from behind the asteroid for movement.

Stick it on Keyan with Stay on Target. If you're behind them, always stay behind them, and take cover against turrets. If you're in front of them, take cover until you can get behind them.

C-3P0 is always good.

Nien Numb has akways struck me as an easy and cheap option. Putting him on PtL Farlander seems like a good time~

That's a waste of five points for Gunner. How often are you going to miss when you're getting essentially a focus token? Gunner is generally going to be the worst thing that you can put on a B-Wing. Unlike a Falcon it doesn't have a turret to ensure it has a target every turn, and it will often be engaging at range 1-2 where it is unlikely to miss. Keep it cheap and lean like with Intelligence Agent on a low PS B-Wing and you will get far better returns.

Also: I miss a TON of Focused attacks. Especially three-dice focused attacks against a target that still has a token.

Honestly, I don't really like any of the crew options on the B-wing. None of them look to do enough to justify the extra points I'll be handing my opponent when they inevitably kill the thing.

I don't know; I think it gives us the opportunity to make a ship that has high combat potential and still has support ability. right now the go-to rebel support ship is the HWK, which needs a further points investment of 4-5 points to buy a turret if it is going to be useful offensively. The commonly-equipped crew upgrades like gunner are probably indeed too expensive for a B-Wing, but there are a lot of under-used crew like intelligence agent that fit very well on a B-Wing.

You could address survivability by including Biggs in a squad, and you could use B-Wing crew such as Jan Ors to keep Biggs alive longer, (an evade is better statistically than a focus token on Biggs) without investing directly in Biggs. This way when Biggs inevitably goes down, you don't lose the investment - the Jan Ors crew, that made him more resilient. Then you can apply Jan Ors' ability to keeping the rest of your squad alive.

Biggs is a Damage sponge, taking a focus action that becomes an evade via Jan Ors, and later picking up a focus token from Garven Dreis, significantly increasing his survivability. When Biggs goes down, Garven can now essentially pass evade tokens or focus tokens depending on the situation to the two B-Wings. Evade tokens on 1 agility ships are much much better than defensive focus tokens.

I think this card is going to have a drastic impact on the meta. You're suddenly going to see B's every where.

I'm looking forward to Dash, because having a B-Wing sniping with an HLC from cover sounds like a ton of fun to try to pull off well. But Kyle also looks very cool, and I think there's a lot of possibilities there. For example:

Airen's Wingman clears any stress on Ibtisam at the beginning of combat, which grants a free focus. Wes Swarms Ibby, so all three shoot at 8; Airen passes an action, Wes strips a token, and Ibby takes a stress for more power and rerolls. And thanks to Wingman, you can take a white maneuver with Ibby next round and still use Opportunist with a free focus.

What I like about the list is that it seems like it should be able to lose a ship early without the synergy falling apart. If Airen dies, you lose some action economy, but the core combo is still there. If Wes dies, you can use the Bandit as a blocker to get Opportunist targets. And even if Ibtisam goes down, you still have some solid ships and more tokens each turn than your opponent.

It's not that bad of a gamble. You have a 61% chance of getting at least one evade, a 44% chance of at least one focus, and a 39% chance of getting 2 tokens. On the other side of the coin, it's only a 14% chance of getting nothing for your action - less than 1 in 7 attempts. So yeah, it'll probably happen once a game on average, but you'll have a token stack more often than that. I think it's a pretty solid defensive upgrade for a low-agility ship. Plus, you can pair it up with PTL on Keyan or Ibtisam to get whatever you still need after your roll.

Yeah, Lando isn't bad for a B-wing. I'm not sure he's cost-effective, given the lack of control over what you get for your action. One focus token is good for shooting, but for defense, focus tokens on 1-agi ships aren't very useful. If you have a turn where you have a shot on the enemy and he doesn't have one back, it's better to just take a focus action (Lando is wasted). If the opposite happens, Lando gives you a decent chance of getting an evade token, though.

It's not the worst but I don't know if it's worth 4 points. Too much of a gamble for my blood I guess.
