Can we please do something about 3PO on falcons?

By Innocent, in X-Wing

Dash will definitely be the next punching bag and rightly so. That sucker is worse than the Falcon ever was...well for my friends...since I'm the a** hole who is always playing it...and winning all his games...

Look! They had Phantoms! It just so happens I was a Huge Shadows of the Empire fan too! Alright?!

ITS NOT MY FAU-...okay maybe it is a little.

<_<

I am still eager to see how Falcons and Outriders handle Farlander.

He'll be very good, but do you think he's really going to be a dominant player in the meta on the level of Falcons, phantoms, and Dash?

Maybe... I don't think anyone expected the BBXX list to ever be so popular until it was proved to be a winner. Someone could come up with something using Farlander and it could become the next killer build, which means posts about how OP'ed he is.

If you compare his ability to any other pilot out there, I'd say it's in the top 5 at least. A pilot that has a lot of red on the dial, that can take advsen, and can change Stress into a focus, and has nearly as many HP's as a Falcon...

The same way they handle any other B-wing: dodge it's arc and shoot it until it blows up.

Because it is extremely difficult for large based ships to dodge arcs? Because I imagine a HLC Farlander will gladly trade HLC shots with the Outrider. And arc dodging a B-wing that will gladly, gladly stress out to use it's movement abilities is going to be tough. A B-wing can be extremely mobile when properly equipped. And unlike the Outrider, Farlander will not lose his offensive strength.

Have people truly forgetting the rants about Farlander we have been seeing since the announcement?

I haven't forgotten, I just don't agree that Farlander is the world-ending god of destruction people make him out to be.

Farlander's a good B-wing, there's no doubt about it. But Vorpal made what I think is the most compelling argument: he's still just a B-wing.

And yes, Dash will happily dodge even Farlander. Big bases really aren't that hard to get out of arcs when you have both B+BR available. The amount of distance Dash can cover is terrifying. Dash is what Phantoms want to be when they grow up. It might be different if initiative goes to Dash, but... <shrug>

And when a wings come in and break all our minds...

Dash pfft I don't think people are scared enough of the decimator.

The sky really is falling this time people...no seriously.

Found a piece of it in my backyard this afternoon.

Ironically however you do realize this all stems from the same complaints from January/February o this year. People were complaining about all the upgrades rebels were getting. This is not a new complaint but the same one. I know I was complaining specifically about c3p0, falcon, z95 builds being overpowered back in February and was told they were just options and it was not going to be any stronger then Han shots first builds. I think it's safe to say people's complaints about certain cards have been justified by how dominant they are in the current meta. Right now I also personally believe that the chardon refit awings make the fat Falcon builds stronger. This meta ffg has built is a problem and it's not something that is going to be easy to fix.
(1) That's not what irony means.

(2) You don't get to claim that Fat Falcons are super strong due to the extra points allowed by using Z-95s as escorts and that Fat Falcons are made even stronger by spending more points on A-wings. The points to bump Bandit or Tala to Prototype + Refit have to come from the Falcon; what are you giving up to get them?

Han + Falcon + Chewie + C3PO + EU + Determination + Assault Missile

Bandit Squadron x3

Tanky as get out. One guaranteed Evade result per round, ignores pilot crits and can restore some shields. Has cheap Zs to act as blockers and throw out some focused firepower.

I killed it with a double BH Omicron list. It just doesn't put out enough firepower to deal with multiple targets well, and even with the tank on Han is easy to focus down in a few rounds.

Color me unimpressed.

C3p0?

So what leia did .

I would be unimpressed with that build too. As much as I love Bandit Squad for the name, the Z ship is really sub-par. Great if you got room for a one-of, but the mini and full Zwarms just disappoint me every time. They also put a contradicting pair of upgrades for defense that compete with Hans only action per turn, no Gunner-type insurance, and a mis-equipped Assault missile. I'm sure it lasted awhile but that doesn't help if he can't kill you with it as I imagine is the lesson you quickly taught him.

So people. What are you falcon killing lists? Or even better yet what are your falcon killing and not terrible against phantom lists?
