I'm looking at my cpu right now looking to buy cards. I am a bit frustarted because I don't know if I am getting cards that are a waste of time or awesome. I can tell most of the elite cards are out of stock. But the main characters I'm looking to run are Chae and Morgian from Darkstalkers. Where should I start at. What should I overlook. What sets should I not even look at. Getting key cards like rejection, goreous team, juni's spiral kick, and all of the top attacks except the lazer blast card from Darkstalkers seem to be out of the picture. Right now I'm just trying not to get frustarted and melt down. lol.

Lol actually steven morrigon from realm of midnight is extremely good. I would recomend running her off of wave where you have shooting and angel of evening to ready your foundations to use her ability. A friend of mine used her in our water tourney and despite what i was running (feline spike mayhem) he still gave me a run for my money. Cards I would recomend for her are program malfunction, chinese boxing, Anna mutsube and alot of life gain. As for Chae it doesnt take much to make her playable. I ran her off of all with no shiny cards except a random attack i through in. Gl with the decks and I hope this helped.

Thanks for the feedback at this hour. Part of the issue is getting the cards. Some of the better cards are either way to pricey or out of stock. I know I'm not going to be the next champion or anything but I'm looking to do something that doesn't get me motored over. I'll try to see if I can find the cards you mentioned from another source.

A box of "Flash of the Blades" will get you playsets or at least 2 of's for a ton of playable commons and uncommons (Inhuman Perception, Forethought, etc.). The rares and UR's are generally horrible except Defender though.

Hybrid Style, Bigger They Are, Soul of Ling-Sheng Su, Quest for Vengeance, a couple fairly solid attacks? The same could be said of Flames of Fame -- it's got Sogetsu's draw tech, some good URs, and a pile of bad.

The King of Fighters 2006 has a couple exceptionally good commons/uncommons for a Water reversal/tank style deck, Battle Prowess, Chinese Boxing, and Shooting Capoera -- just be warned, some of your friends won't like to play with it lol.

After that, I'd go to The Realm of Midnight, which has Morrigan herself, all her support (including the excellent Shadow Blade), and also Huitzil's stuff (High Plasma Beam, Program Malfunction). Plus, if you manage to rip a Feline Spike or Ira-Spinta, that's 1/3rd to 1/2 of the price of the box...
