Focus-Evade B-wings?

By Narcoleptic, in X-Wing

Was just messing around with the crew slot for B-wings, and came up with the idea to involve Jan.

Blue sqdr. pilot

- B-wing/E2

- Recon Specialist

x3

Rebel Operative

- Jan Ors

- Blaster Turret

You have three B-wings that get either focus-focus, evade-evade, or focus-evade. Seems like it could be hilarious to have that action economy on a B-wing.

Jan only works once per turn.

Right, forgot that. =/

Jan only works once per turn.

Evade tokens are a guaranteed cancellation of a hit. On many of the 3 evade ships I have seen evade tokens discarded because the dice did all the cancellation. On ships with less dice evade becomes more effective than focus.

There is also the Firespray with 2 agi and an evade action.

Agi 1 ships suffer against many 2 dice attacks (swarm) and since you can choose to spend it after you roll defense, thats where the evade token shines.

Mayhaps you've heard of the Ultimate, Bahroken List? =D (jk)

Wes Janson (29)
Veteran Instincts (1)
R7 Astromech (2)
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Keyan Farlander (29)
Opportunist (4)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Jan Ors (2)
B-Wing/E2 (1)
Total: 100

Recon has served me well on a firespray I don't see a downside on a b-wing you up your dodge chance to 50% and your attacks to 75% by using focus.

Interesting list, but I don't see it as broken. I especially wouldn't take R7 on Wes. You have Biggs for defense, you need more offense to start crushing ships before they start taking out yours. Also, you're spending 3 points to make sure Biggs can have 1 evade per turn instead of a focus. I wonder what the statistics are between an evade token and a focus for defense. I would prefer Experimental Interface + R2-F2, it's 6 points, but that combo is going to be awesome. Takes away his dependency on action passing to get the R2F2/Focus combo.
