my first epic game (2 vs 2 100 points a person.)

Now I know epic is more than a 100 points but to state why we played it was league night and free play (so no standard or escalation point limits) and well still waiting on Wave 5 I had my CR-90 I never played and another player had a transport that he never played. So we found 2 other people to play Imperial and set to 100 points each. A rather small number and not equal epic to point list but everyone agreed and we finally get to see how the BIG ships play. For the table we had 6 by 3 with an asteroid set and 10 satellite tokens from the core set. For the Satellite we had them act as obstacles with 2 rules house rules. Whenever an overlapped occurred the ship gains an Ion Token, and after the roll for damage the satellite obstacle is removed.

Okay and things that I learned. Well at first I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of the bowling mechanic where if the Huge ship touches a non-huge ship the non-huge ship was dead. Now at first I wanted a house rule giving the little guys a 1 defense dice roll to live as long as they were not stressed or ionized, however since the huge ships activates last and the movement was so slow you will never be able to catch up with the little guys. Now I was able to tag a Firespray but that was after it got stuck in a furball with a shuttle and a bomber and I did a 4 straight.

Well we ran out of time as the store closed at 10 but my partner lost his Transport and Green Squadron but his Blackmoon Squadron Pilot kept him in the game. My fore section ended up crippled but my aft which also had my quad cannons were untouched. I was able to destroy Mauler Mithel, Kassis Trelix, Howlrunner, and Captain Kagi. They still had Curse, Jonus and Omicron Group Pilot.
