Disarm, Sunder, and destroing weapons

By kinnison, in Game Mechanics

rolling a Triumph (or three advantages) in combat allows you to disarm an opponent (Table 6-2)

Rolling Two Triumphs allow you to destroy the opponents weapon (Table 6-2)

Sum Djem talent allows you to disarm an opponent with just one triumph or two advantages

Force power tree: Seek, Mastery. Make a power check and spend 3 force points to gain a triumph on any combat check against one target for the encounter.

granted you would need a force rating of 3 or 4 to get close to activating the seek mastery.

Round 1; Activate seek power and mastery

Round 2: if you survive round 1, close to close range, make a combat check. if you roll 1 triumph you could destroy an opponents weapon. Otherwise they are disarmed on a successful attack.

Yes, it would be reserved to a high power game, and defensive stance could make it more difficult, but i found it interesting to research this.

Granted, spending talents in such a way would need GM approval. Looks like the Gm needs to be bribed a lot more by the player

(Sorry for the horrid spelling in the title)

And if this became an issue in the game, any important NPc has resist disarm, and then the trick no longer works. (Note i said important NPC. let players have fun if this is fun for them).
