So I preordered Aces from Miniature Market and was wondering what kind of delay I should expect before it ships, after they get it. Anyone have any experience with preorders from previous waves?

They ship stuff pretty quickly on regular orders. I've only pre-ordered a couple of things over the years, and I seem to recall them not shipping the items until the actual release date, even though they typically receive new releases a couple of days early, given that they're in the Midwest. However, that may be my faulty memory. And if it's not, then I don't know if that's because of agreements with FFG or if it has more to do with the popularity of the items that I had ordered.

with X-Wing the fill the preorder in the order they received them. so if you recently preordered you are likely in the back of the line. If you preordered fairly early you could get it before the release date. Most of the time they get the ships out before the release date.

Most of the stuff I pre-ordered from MM I ended up with either the say day that the stores get it, or else a day late.

One caveat to that that I've noticed is if you grouped pre-order and non-pre-order (or pre-orders with differing release dates)stuff in the same order, they will de-prioritize your order until they have sent out all the orders that are purely pre-orders of the thing that just came in. I nearly never buy $100 worth the pre-order stuff in one go, but always make my order hit $100 for the free shipping, and I typically recieve my shipping notice about 2 days after everyone else gets their notice (and always on a thursday, meaning I don't get my stuff till monday afternoon... grr...)
