You have to ask yourself do S&V have defenders? No well then what's the point?

I'm not sure what delusions you're under, but Defenders are difficult but hit-and-miss craft at best for their cost to deploy. I've yet to see them really come into their own on the field yet.

No. In my 23 games with Defenders I have won 16. Defenders are amazing ships. Albeit expensive ones.

HLC on even the PS1 defenders can be lethal, ran a Jonas brothers list Wednesday:

Jonas with predator and two defenders with HLC, they got two rerolls from Jonas and they made a mess of chewie even if I could not crit him.

Also had great success with firespray carrying a recon specialist and two onyx defenders.

And of course rexler plus mini swarm works well.

The secrets are: Never use anything but Deltas and Vessery. And also, HLCs are pure magic on them, especially when you have Jonus.
