This leaves 18 points for swapping out pilots and astromechs for better ones. I want the list to be all X-wings, and there needs to be AT LEAST 6 of them. I have all the X-wing pilots, and all the astromechs, just don't know what to put in and wanted some help from the community!

Also, fairly important question, how do I fly X-wings? Do I joust? Im used to flying Lil' Greens, (Awings with PtL and Predator or VI)

I had originally done mental math and thought that 6 x-wings and 4 r2's were 150 points. Boy was I surprised when the calculator told me otherwise!

I think that's more than 100 points.

I gather from your second post that you're doing a 150 point squad. If that's the case, I recommend creating some sort of synergy there. Doing 6 identical ships is not likely to work. Ask the following questions:

1. How is this going to survive?

2. How is this going to shoot more than my opponent?

3. How is this list going to consistently apply damage?

Biggs is sort of a default addition on that list, and he should go naked (no upgrades). Wedge is always a good addition, and adding swarm tactics and some sort of defensive upgrade is always good. Luke, Wes, and Garvin are always good, especially when you give Luke a way to recover shields, and Garvin some focus fun.

Yeah, this is just for fun, a casual game, as I recently got a 6th X-wing in my collection and can fly half a squadron now. My group hardly does 100 point games any more and I forgot to mention that in the post.

The biggest weakness this list has is Pilot Skill. Shooting after your guys have most likely been shot down will be the X-Wing Swarm's biggest problem. I think you can cut the R units and fit in Biggs, Wedge with Swarm Tactics and Luke with Swarm Tactics and fly them in formation.

Here's what I would do:

Luke // Draw Their Fire / R2-D2

Garven

Biggs // R2-F2

Rookie

Biggs takes the extra agility as his action, and Garven passes him a focus to help on defense. Luke takes any crits that should have gone to Biggs. The rookies fly in front, hopefully firing at Range 2 while your opponent is taking Range 3 shots at Biggs. If Biggs is out of range for the first round so that your Rookies have to take the shots, that's even better.
