I know a couple people who do this already, but today I spend a half hour going through the avatar library and found this one (look to the left). Never heard of the game its from, but I like it and I think it will stand out nicely. Suits my personality.

What do you guys think? Personally I think pilot faces would be better than ships as avatars but until then I'll take pictures that give emotion (like a face) than just ships.

I always liked apothecaries and I wanted to stand out on this board...so I chose this one...should it become too popular I'll switch to a civ avatar as that game is awesome!!

I picked a non-X-wing avatar simply because there are so few X-wing portraits available that it's hard to stand out.

I wanted mine to be more recognizable (especially to myself) and I like elves. As much as I wanted to be a Firespray I'd just be one of a dozen with the Stealth Device avatar.

Not being able to have a custom avatar is really annoying and you can sometimes think you're reading one persons views when its someon else if you're not paying attention or tired.

The pitifully small amount of choices doesnt help.

Looks like one of the "glares" from Aye, Dark Overlord. If so, it's a fun social game if you have the right people to play with that can ad lib a bit and have a good sense of humor.

I too changed my avatar from a x-wing related this one.

I just couldn't stand it any more to not find my posts (and so the point of the discussion(s) where I left of) by searching for my avatar, because just too many people choose the same ... if FFG would kindly upgrade the avatar selection with art from newer cards I might be tempted to switch back...

I choose this Heretek one because I also play Black Crusade every now and then and my go-to archetype is a Tzeentchian Heretek (a secretive, mesantropic, psykic cyborg in service of the a God dedicated to plots, manipulation, lies and paradox)

FFG totally NEEDS to get more X-Wing art available as avatars.

It's silly we don't have anything after wave 2 - no B-Wings, no Imperial Shuttles...nevermind the cool new stuff like the TIE Defenders or E-Wings...

Really annoying...what's out there at the moment is just not a large enough pool for it to really uniquely identify anyone.

Wonder if FFG would respond to a custom support request about that...

For most forums I browse I use a picture of Snoopy and Woodstock, with Woodstock dressed up as a knight, as my avatar because it suits my username and my 2-year old daughter loves Snoopy.

For this forum I went through all of the available avatars and settled on this one because it was the closest thing to a Ninja-avatar, and because Citadels was the first FFG game I ever played. Also because of all the issues of choosing an X-wing avatar that have already been mentioned.
