We're about to play "Web of Power" in the Labyrinth of Ruin campaign. The rules regarding the transformation state that if there is not enough empty spaces to place Queen Ariad, that she must perform an immediate move action. My question is- what if Ariad is surrounded by heroes and can't move anywhere at all? How do we deal with that? Any input or previously seen rulings would be appreciated, thanks!

It ended up never becoming an issue during the quest (she never got to become Queen Ariad,) but if anyone has any ideas, I'd still like to hear them. The best idea I've got so far is that Queen Ariad's token would just have to be placed in the nearest 1-space opening that she could perform a valid move action from.
I would play it as Ariad make a move action ignoring heroes
I think I'd go with the tried and true "move her to the nearest legal position." The difference here would be that "legal position" would include spaces that Queen Ariad can't fit into, as long as regular Ariad can make a move action from there to somewhere Queen Ariad can fit.

So far, I think that makes the most sense. However, it means that if the heroes haven't managed to kill Ariad and she's about to transform, they had better step back to give room for a valid move action. If they don't, Queen Ariad could get a significant head start toward the exit (and she doesn't need to go far, anyway.) It's my opinion that unless the heroes have some serious firepower, once Queen Ariad appears it is already over.
