New Applied Perspective token designs?

By Gibarian, in X-Wing

I've seen a couple of posts on here about AP's new token designs. I seem to recall one post that implied they were already released, but I can't find them on the website. Are they out yet? If not, does anyone know when they're slated for release?

I also recall several people fretting about the designs looking too similar to the official ones, so it's possible that the release was delayed to rework some of the icons.

Any info would be much appreciated.

I hadn't seen any new tokens, and don't see them on the site...

It's also not on the list of new releases, and there's been no facebook update or anything. Hope they come out soon though. Love AP's stuff.

Yeah. Hexis has been teasing the new designs. Can't wait for them to show up.

Have a source? I really wanna see 'em

Love 'em! But those target locks don't seem as easily and intuitively identifiable as numbers or letters. What's up with the weird patterns?

That's the people's language. Aurabesh.

These are great!

Those are not for sale. Just mine. Just showing off the opaque acrylic really on those. The normal interlocking target locks have regular numbers in them. I wanted something more in-universe for my personal stuff.

I love just about all of these, and cannot wait until they are in the store.

And then the above post happened. ****.

Sorry, just the target locks. The rest will be for sale. Adam has just been catching up with orders (the laser went kerbust and he got a backlog). I think he's all caught up now and working on getting new products on the web store. I just do the art design for Adam, so I have zero control over when the stuff goes for sale. I just like making cool looking tokens. The target locks are for sale, just without Aurabesh numbers.

I just sprung a wookie.

Hope he gets caught up soon. Two sets of these will be mine.

Oh so the rest of the tokens, a side from the target locks, will eventually go up for sale?

I really like the crisp etching and the fact that the Focus and Evade tokens are round.

Yeah, all of that is eventually going to be for sale in the various colors, other than the aurabesh numbers on the target locks. Tho I'm sure if you asked nice enough he could do those (since I already did the art for em). Those same target locks are available with regular numbers (technically Western "Arabic numerals") on them.

The general idea is to echo the real game tokens as much as possible. Positive game effects are round (Focus, Evade, EPT/Droid/etc...). Negative are angular (Stress, critical hits), Shields have a bit of both, but are not easily confused with totally round tokens. Same with energy, also not confused with Shields. Ion are pretty round, but the pointy bits should make it clear they are not good. Cloak has it's own shape, but they are way smaller than the cardboard or FFG acrylic Cloak tokens, so I like using the AP ones more.

I think I will be springing for AP tokens very soon after seeing those.

I will as well!

Oh, well that's fantastic news. I use AP templates and tokens already, and they're fantastic. Templates are perfect, and a lotta people I know prefer the AP TLs over the (huge) FFG ones. I like 'em because they link together and it gets easy to manage them when they aren't in use.

Very excited to see that only the TLs are unavailable. As soon as the rest become available, I'm definitely buying them.
