I started with many of the graphics from TheDearth's Community Project files, but decided to mimic the format of the upcoming Adversary Cards from FFG. If anyone is interested in the template, let me know.

Very cool! Actually, this is getting me thinking... my generator has pretty much every piece of equipment published. Maybe adding printable equipment cards like this would be useful. All the stats are already there. Plus, you could even print out customized weapons and armor with all attachment info.

I like the format you used. Clean, simple, easily readable. The gears are grinding...

One thing I might recommend in terms of design is to add a bit more padding around the text, for example on the back text. The words almost touch the lines in the grey box.

Can I ask which fonts you used and how you managed to get the tapered box effect (i.e. the top section where the word Blaster Carbine is)?

I would suggest some sort of symbol, not just the same greenish box, for each of Damage, Encumbrance, Critical, etc. When making my own homebrew cards it made it much simpler to quickly glance at a card and find what you were looking for:

Oggdude I would contribute again if you added an ability to make cards out of gear/armor/weapons AND be able to add your own custom items!!!

...and umm, vehicles too?

I will make a list of the fonts when I get some time with the PC. I created the tapered Text Box in Photoshop.

This looks brilliant. I'd love to get involved. I've been making cards for my group using MS Publisher, and some Star Wars fonts I found on the internetz. We all use OggDude's character generator too so an option to create cards of our equipment would be off the scale cool.

i used to have something similar in another system.

one thing that system did was have the encumb figure in the top left corner. then the players could fan them like a hand of playing cards to quickly some up their total encumbrance amount.

I’ve been using that PSD file and creating my own backgrounds for the armor cards I’ve been doing. See my thread at https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/204150-my-work-in-progress-armor-cards/

I can share my background graphics with you, but it would just be a JPEG, PNG, or PDF format file with graphics in it, and wouldn’t be a proper template where you could just fill in text fields.

You would need to take that file and bring it into a graphics editor of some sort, and then put all the other elements on there, including the text.

Do you have the template you made for magic set editor please as i have that program and its great.

Resurrecting this thread from the dead. Gear/NPC templates for MSE would be awesome. I'm just no darned good at templating for that, but it would make creating a full set of cards for later printing much easier and more convenient than, say, Photoshop.
