Hello folks I have a question about protect/unleash. Well here the thing, I wanted to know if you purchase that talent tree do you have to pick whether you want protect or unleash? Or do you get both because I wanted to play a gray force user. Thanks for answering.

The second line under Basic Power says "A character who purchases the basic power Protect/Unleash gains access to both Protect and Unleash" so yes, you get both, once you upgrade it there is definitely a strength increase to one half depending on your affiliation with the Force.
