I'd drop the Shield to a Hull or Stealth Device. Given Fel's action economy Stealth Device is probably fully worth it.

I usually run him with PTL and Stealth Device, and then maybe a Bounty Hunter or two.

Add something people will want to shoot at. Buzzsaw shuttle or similar plump target. You REALLY want to be able to get him behind them early.

Agreed. Maybe something like:

... although, in that case I'd rather drop stealth to give the OGP either Vader or APL.

They work great together. Set up the mini swarm on one side and Fel at the other; whoever they turn to face leaves the other to do good damage.

I only flew it once against a Whisper, Bounty Hunter and two tie fighter list.

It did very well, I was left with an unscratched Fell and an Academy with one hull left.

EDIT: I am considering replacing the Academic TIEs with a Doom Shuttle, but then I would need to reference Vader in the name.

I do not know if you have flown a lot of X-Wings, but a TL and focus at range 1 is devastating. There are other options like TL, Evade, Focus if you are in the line of fire but think you can shoot down an enemy ship before they fire or Focus, Focus Evade if you want to turtle.

I have run this Fel list a few times and it is great fun. Well, it is great fun for me at least.

Baron Fel takes a flank and the mini swarm takes on the enemy head on. The Assault Missiles are to break up swarms or punish a swarm that sticks together.

Just wanted to add, I agree with you on all the other Tie Interceptors but Fel, which is kind of sad that it came in Imperial Aces expansion.

Also if it fits your play style, then I am not going to disagree with you on not using TC on Fel. There is a lot of risk to running interceptors and an additional HP really helps mitigate that risk.

Focus + TL hits very hard. Soontir can pull that combo off nearly every turn.

I'll disagree with the TC crowd wvery day, I have Fell out of arc so much I dont have time to TL anything as I'm shooting ships up. I feel its a wasted 2 points..

You are free to disagree, but I keep him hyper mobile and I dont worry about it. A fast and mobile ship shouldn't be bogged down by anything that keeps him from moving. Just how I see I, and how I fly him.. I've been at this game since almost the beginning .. I think I know how to fly the Imperials..

BH + backstabber + Night beast = Baron's Focus. Great list. BH needs recon though.

I've done well with that exact Fel with Vessery+HCL+VI and an OGP.

I'd say the TC should be standard equipment when running Red Baron. If you have a turn where you don't have much need for additional maneuvering to arc dodge spend an action to TL. Even if you don' t have a shot either set yourself up for a following turn. Maxing your damage potential is a good way to fight against naturally turreted ships since you can't really dodge them without taking away your own shots. Get in close to that Falcon and TL+Evade=free focus; put 4 hits on the hunk of junk and evade as much as you can in return fire. But for the love of Palpatine don't bump!

I've flown Fel with a RGP and a Shuttle to good effect. I forget what I had on them, pretty sure the RGP had PTL as well and I had an Ion Cannon on the shuttle. I'd fly the shuttle slow and have Fel and RGP haul @$$ to either rear flank or K-turn behind the opposition. I remember them doing particularly well against some turret carrying Y-wings and HCL+FCS B-wings. Y's couldn't hit anything besides the shuttle and B's never got a shot at anything but the shuttle.

Today, for the 1st time ever, i have used Fel+PTL+TC+Stealth.

...and I became a beliver (insert gospel chorus). He is amazing. Dancing around the map. Brilliant!!!
