Curious what others think?

By jjohnson111, in Star Wars: Armada

Since today FFG announced their prizes and store championship kits for X-Wing, LCG's, etc, and Armada wasn't in the listing, is it going to be a non-competitive miniatures game for them? Or, is it due to the release date of Armada, and just too soon for it to kick into the scene of competitive gameplay?

What does the brain trust of Armada think?

I think it's because the game might not be out for six months. The first tournaments could start late spring or maybe not until Gencon..

They said there would be tournaments in the In-Flight report if memory serves.

I would guess that it will kick into competitive play pretty quickly, but seeing as it isn't even released yet, it is premature to worry much about it.

Ah, I missed that in the in-flight report. Might have to go back and watch it again. I just wanted something new to talk about...sigh.

Haha.

It might have been in an interview as well; I'm not positive, but I seem to remember it coming up somewhere...

It might be in the Steve Horvath interview with Team Covenant. Game is likely not out till Jan or Feb so not really good timing for a store championship next year.

I think they said there might be a chance for regional but it definitely would not be out for the store championships(really too bad)
