Finish this Echo/Vessery list

Echo VI ACD FCS Weapons Engineer

Vessery HLC

I have been playing these guys with Mauler and VIon Vessery. The problem is I don't actually own a second VI, and I won't be getting one by the time my next actual tournament comes up. How would you finish it out? Put VI on Vessery and take stygium and a different ept on Echo? Just sub another 1 PT ept on Vessery? It's a really solid list that forces your opponent to make terrible choices. I just don't have the cards to run it like I have been.

Do you have fire control system on the phantom? Weapons Engineer is useless unless you do, I will assume you do have FCS on the phantom. Add outmaneuver to Vessery and Night Beast for 100 points.

If Echo is the only one feeding Vessery target locks, it makes her a big target. I would add Outmaneuver to Vessery, take off the Weapons Engineer from Echo (maybe adding an Intelligence Agent for PS9+ pilots) and add in a Scimitar. As mentioned, you of course need FCS on Echo also.

Omicron with weapons engineer and darth vader?

Right FCS is on Echo, added.

How about "Dark Curse" with Targeting Computer?

Why not Determination on Vessery?

Currently running this for the TC tournament and local things.

Echo+VI+AvdC+FCS

Vessery+Outmaneuver

OGP+Vader

Still thinking up a name, but it is a really scary list. Would love to get in a HLC, but then I wouldn't have a second ship with TL ability that can still have some bang for its buck for back up once Echo is gone.

Without making major changes, I'd simply use Adrenaline Rush rather than VI on Vessery. It's a really great card, because it opens up those turns for that once-per-match where you really need to be able to knife-fight like a TIE Fighter rather than playing the usual boom-and-zoom game. It also forces your opponent to consider a much larger set of possible moves until you use it, which is nice.

If you're open to larger tweaks, I'd go like this (similar to a list suggested upthread):

"Echo" (30)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
Advanced Cloaking Device (4)
Colonel Vessery (35)
Adrenaline Rush (1)
Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Weapons Engineer (3)
ST-321 (3)
Total: 100

That's really nice with the shuttle title. Just a better version tbh. I'll give it a shot. I don't have a bomber but I can borrow an AR I'm sure.

You can also move the Fire-Control System over to the Lambda. It gives you a stronger Lambda (and the same number of TLs overall), but if you lose it Vessery's ability goes "poof".

Of course, if your opponent is targeting the shuttle instead of one of your nasty mobile pieces you're probably in okay shape...

VI on Vessery is insurance against other Echos and Defenders and although Rush is overall a more flexible card, in the current meta VI is more applicable. PS 8 also ensures you can fly together with Echo without too many collision problems.

I prefer Engineer on Echo because it ramps up her offense significantly, and FCS allows you to swap target locks as you will when you shoot. Doom Shuttle is essential for dealing with Soontir and Phantoms, so I prefer Vader to make him a threat. The reality of losing actions with the shuttle means you won't be getting full utility out of the 6 points you spend on giving it locks.

Lock, Stock, Barrel

Echo, VI, FCS, Engineer 40

Vessery, VI 36

Shuttle, Vader 24

Not for the faint of heart, but how about...?

VESSERY (35)

Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

ECHO (30)

Fire control system (2)

Weapons engineer (3)

Advanced cloaking device (4)

Veteran Instincts (1)

BLACK SQUADRON PILOT (14)

Wingman (2)

Targeting computer (2)

Wouldnt a fat Han list make short work of this? ive found the defender to be vulnerable to Han+Gunner/Luke because it quickly chews through the 6hp.

Defenders aren't nearly as vulnerable since they have 6 hp to the Phantom's 4, and have a natural 3 evade dice and can trade favourably at range 3 with HLC.

Vessery+Echo both put out 8 dice of TL+Focus firepower, which can overwhelm the Falcon very quickly if Echo doesn't go down early.

This is also discounting Backstabber's damage, which isn't insignificant.

What I wanted to say is that I found that the defenders 6hp don't last long against turrets+gunner relative to the cost you're paying for the defender.

Not in my experience so far. But I have been playing it with HLC, so that might be different with the shuttle version.

If you're making a decision based on the metagame, then it's also worth noting that Echo is much less common than Whisper and Han, and in those cases VI on Vessery is just taking up space.

I had that thought as well, Vorpal. I'm not usually flying Vessery and Echo anywhere near each other.

Very similar to the list I've been flying. Just trying to decide what to put on Echo (RC vs RS vs WE) and whether to take Yorr or doom shuttle. With all the stress out there, Yorr can be very useful.
