Is anyone else feeling entirely overwhelmed by the options for squad building now?

I'm still trying to play catch up mentally with Wave 4 and figure out what I like to use for a squad and what I feel comfortable actually using (and they're not always the same). Now with Rebel Aces, Wave 5 and Scum & Villainy soon to be upon us, I'm entirely feeling overwhelmed by the options now in front of me. I've been playing this game since it first came out, and right now it almost feels like it's getting away from me.

I'm to the point I really can't even pick a squad right now because of the wealth of options.

I think we all forget that the first 2 releases this year were supposed to be christmas releases last year.. they just caught up and kept on schedule.. hopefully that won't happen again, but I think wave 6 may be early Q1 next year..

Umm, The Transport was never going to be a 2013 release. Just the Imperial Aces.

I totally agree. I would be fine with just 2 releases a year, maybe 3 at the most if one is a smaller release like a single huge ship or aces pack.

I hear ya man. I don't get to play enough to justify buying everything willy nilly. I still have wave 4 stuff to buy. Hell, I don't have a Tie Advanced.

Personally I don't mind 4 releases a year.. it keeps the game fresh and continues to add in new content..

And maybe it wasn't the transport for end of 13, but I thought there were 2 releases that got pushed to 14 Q1.. I could be wrong..

Quarterly is the most I would like to see, and even that feels like a lot. It seems like everyone is proxying the next wave before it hits, and then not really taking the time with the ships when they arrive. People have been playing Aces stuff for months already, at least casually. I would really like to enjoy my waves successively instead of constantly skipping ahead.

Just wait until they announce the 2 extra ships for Wave 5.

I think this is more than accurate, I expect Wave 5 to be more like October/November at this stage and Wave 6 will be next year.

the only reason I could see them getting Wave 6 this year is if they want to catch the X-mas rush (See what I did there ) but I doubt it.

To meet the Christmas demand, the product would need to already be en route to the distributors. I've work in retail for *far* too many years. We did our Christmas ordering in like... June or July for the distribution centre level and the product better be getting there by September at the absolute latest otherwise it won't have time to make it to the stores.

There's a reason that clothing stores start carrying winter coats in September, and have the bathing suits back out on the floor before the winter snow has melted off in March.
