And I would love to see single re-issues of ships with alternate paint schemes with new pilots.
Grey Squadron for the Y-wing, Green Squadron for the A-wing, etc.

I'm going to say we get a fairly limited set of releases this next year. Maybe just one wave and an aces style pack. I think with armada and assault we'll see a slowdown

Doubt it. I imagine we will see the same pace we saw this year. 3 3 ship Waves, plus 2-3 Aces/Big Box type expansions (I really hope it's the big box, to boost 4+ ships at once), and then whatever Epic releases.

Wildly speculating here - FFG announces that they are holding off on new ships for the first quarter and are instead looking to sort out worldwide stock issues - I can dream can't I?

Remember that 2015 is a year of EVII so the last quater we see the ships of the movie, maybe new updates, or new ships, greettings.

It seems pretty doubtful that anything from ep 7-9 will make it to X-Wing.

During the In Flight report they already stated that they were sticking to the Rebellion Era. Does that rule out the 6 post-quel movies that are planned?

Prequel ships would only be considered if they were around during the Rebellion Era.

The next film is set within 20 years of ep VI so deffinately not a different era. Hell, they've got practically all of the original cast in it so it can't be too far ahead at all

With Wave 5 still on the boat. It doesn't look good for a Wave 6 Christmas release. Bah Humbug.

I'll still stick to my predictions and push them out a month or so.

My predictions is that we will get some really cool ships announced and we will get really excited, but after all the speculation that is possible with out actually playing with the new ships we will get board and wonder what ships will be coming out in 2016.

With all the video game EU ships, I also think that this could be a possible Wave 7 Rebel Ship:

You're seriously underestimating how big the X4 is. That'd require a GR-75 base, almost.
