Hi, I've just got my DH copy, and I've got a question about the Psyker aptitude available to the Astra Telepathica bachground. Does it automatically make you a Psyker, meaning you don't have to pay 300xp to become one? And if so, does the Tested on Terra bonus still apply?

Nope. You still need the Psyker elite advance.

Based on what i read it works like this.

Tested on terra applies if you take the psyker elite advance anywhere in character creation, meaning either through choosing the mystic class and getting it for free, or by using your starting XP to buy the psyker advance.

so you could make an astra telepathica character of any role and still gain the benefits of tested on terra if you are willing to drop 300 starting xp on it. You might have trouble trying to explain certain roles for your psyker however.
