Fall 2014 X-Wing Miniatures League at Geek City (Coralville, IA)
When: Every Thursday starting 9/18 going through 11/20, 6:00pm-9:00pm
Entry: $10 for the 10 week league
Scoring: We will use a point system that encourages diverse list building and participation. Basically: players only get credit for their first 2 games per week (with a 300pt epic game counting as two games for double points). Ideally, these matches should take place during the league time on Thursday evening. Point breakdown follows:
- Attendance (max +2/week): +2pt playing at least one game on Thursday evening
- Participation (max +4/week): +2pt per 100pt game played OR +4 for a 300pt Epic game played.
- Winning (max +8/week): +4pt per 100pt game win OR +8 for a 300pt Epic game win. You must have gained participation points to gain the winning points.
- List Diversity: +1pt for using a new, previously unused pilot (generic or unique) in a game where you received participation points. A spreadsheet will keep track of pilots each player has used over time. This will be updated each week as results are submitted. Wave 5 ships will be legal for play and tracked starting week one. However, their points towards list diversity will only count if Wave 5 is released for general purchase by 11/6.
Reporting: There will be a form available for players to fill out after each game that will note the pilots used by each player and the winner. There will be a drop box for the form at Geek City. The scoring spreadsheet will be available online and periodically in print. Since matches aren’t timed, there are no modified wins. Draws will split the possible winning points.
Prizes: Based on total number of players.
