Developing List (theoretical): Enter Sandman

By Rakky Wistol, in X-Wing

Here was the last version before we knew all the costs:

Xizor+ virago+ Predator (or other awesome 3pt ept)+ awesome 3pt upgrade to be named (38)
"Named EPT holding Scyk" (18 pts or less)
Baseline Scyk (13pts)
2x z (24pts)

7pts or so left over
------------

Keeping in line with the original build even though it doesn't seem as optimal as it once was:

Xizor + Pred + FCS + AutoThrusters

Leech + bodyguard

Cartel + heavy + Mangler

Pirate x2

-------------

2pts left for Init or Dampners for Xizor or a feedback array. 3 Z's, a Scyck, Xizor with bodyguard means we made the list again in theme but I'm not convinced.

A BTL Ywing is also a nice add in for HP and a little more punch but that gets us away from the build. Sadly, I don't think it'll be nearly as good as hoped since the Scyck's and StarViper's dial were not as good as they needed to be for PTL; luckily, autothrusters is great for the starviper.

APT + Xizor is still an option since he'll make it to delivery time and cost enough to maybe actually be a target but Guri is probably just as good a platform there.

What say you?

Time to put this to the test

OR

Time to put it to Bed...

I day give prince inertial dampeners and you've got a list worth putting on the table at least

The fresh Prince (100)

Prince Xizor — StarViper 31

Veteran Instincts 1

Fire-Control System 2

Inertial Dampeners 1

Autothrusters 2

Virago 1

Kaa'To Leeachos — Z-95 Headhunter 15

Bodyguard 2

Serissu — M3-A Interceptor 20

Determination 1

Binayre Pirate — Z-95 Headhunter 12

Binayre Pirate — Z-95 Headhunter 12

It looks okay on paper, but it would need to keep formation and the main problem i see is that Xizor, for all the points you invest into him will just not cause enough damage. On the pro side is that you still have a 5-ship with Serissu that probably needs to be focused before anyone else while the rest of your ships cause damage.

I am not coninced about Xizor. I think there should be an additional chance to entirely eliminate the damage you pass on or something... As it is he is just too many eggs in one basket no matter how you play him...

I think so too.

All eggs in one basket is an attempt to get people to actually shoot at him. I think APT might be the incentive to do so but mostly just making him the best endgame piece you can is the best method for Xizor. RE: Serissu- Is a defensive howlrunner with a worse dial and less HP at 21pts a good bargin? For cheaper you can have a mangler or ion equipped basic. I think it definitely needs playing

I tend to think of serrisu more in the line of Biggs, I don't think she works well with xizor
