Earlier today i saw a thread here where someone repainted a Firespray to match Sabine's color palettes. I can't find it now.
Why was it removed and who was the author so i can ask for the pictures?

Thread is gone. Who knows why.
Do a google image search. I typed in "Sabine firespray repaint" and found the pictures easily.
what, why would that be deleted?

Indeed, you helped me find the pictures. My thanks, sir!

As unfairBanana said and i quote: "Who knows?"... maybe some flame war broke in the topic.
Those that actually saw the thread know why. As nice as a paint job it was, it went in a very, very bad direction.
I think I missed the worst of it then! Good Job mods! Keep em down!
Anyone care to message me with the details? I find myself very curious about what happened, no judgment.
Edited by WonderWAAAGHI think that's my favourite repaint to date, but all of them have just been so great.
Let's just say people got their pants in a bunch over a few images that were misinterpreted completely, and an SJW fight broke out as well.
Is this the picture your looking for ?

People fight for anything these days. Fine piece of art, didn't deserved it.
Yest, that was it Osoroshii, thank you very much!
p.s.: There is a small irony when a colorblind get's hyped on a color-related character.
Just to be clear, I didn't paint that ship. Just wanted to reshow that fine piece of art.
Can anyone msg just a general summary of what happened? I'm intreged and I just put some popcorn in the microwave...

Walking away shacking head....................
Agreed...the only good thing from that thread has been repost we here.
I can repost the pictures and descriptions when I get home. The middle pages of the thread were derailed by people arguing about gender representation in Rebels, and some pretty personal attacks on both sides. I'm disappointed that it was deleted completely as we'd moved back to talking about painting (with some great references on Mando culture).

Disappointing to hear that.
Only thing I wonder is if it derailed again, or that it was just the mod coming in days after the facts, while the thread itself had already overcome its troubles (which I found to be a good example of the good winning over the bad on this forum). If the latter was true, just removing those posts and handing out warnings would have been a far better solution. I truely hope they will start taking care of this forum soon, like they promised.
Since the other poster required we not destroy the integrity of the thread with the actual repost, I'd like to use this thread to voice my displeasure at the current tactic that FFG is using then for their internet front.
Really, it looks like they still don't understand the power of this medium and how to correct use it. This also worries me about how well they can make decisions at a company level for a game also. It just seems they are a little out of touch.
Warnings are much more appropriate, so are individual post deletions.
Perhaps if enough people or the OP requested it, its better to close the whole thread, but as far as i can tell, it was really taking out a really spectacular thread that should not have been deleted in such a heavy handed way.

Even better is being part of the community, being visible and accessible.
But I agree that deleting posts and threads should be a last resort.
Threads will disappear pretty quickly once locked. There was some awful stuff in that thread (I know I reported some of it), but deleting posts and threads is a bit heavy handed in terms of moderation. Lock, ban, rinse, repeat.
No, they did the right thing. The thread wasn't worth saving. It was going to spiral out of control again. If you have to delete half the thread, it is better just to nuke it, no matter what good content was nuked as well.

Good content should always outweigh bad content and locking it will have it drift out of sight quite quickly. Plus that it will show people that a) there is moderation and b) what is not allowed.
When the thread becomes 75% bad content vs 25% good content, yeah, it's time to nuke the thread. Especially when the stuff that was bad was just toxic. And quite honestly, given how some of the community has reacted, the moderation NEEDS to come down hard. The question that started it was so, so simple and could've been easily been ignored. But no, this "community" decided to mock and provoke. Same as what happened to Budgernaut's thread.
