I started on this yesterday a little bit, made some more progress with the base coat.

I wanted to take it down so I could add my own wash and wanted the CorSec green to pop more.

Once this is ready I give it a bit of a wash then start masking my stripes.

So... it's going to be the Verdant Venture? Nice!

Got some wash down, I was starting to have painter's remorse; then the wash began to set, and I love it... did a quick stripe on the starboard fore quarter and it really does pop.

Yeah, this is going to be fun.

Might go over some of the greeble later with a copper/orange then go over the gun barrels with grey/tan

oh yeah, that Secret Weapon green wash, if you do not dilute with water it has an oxide effect like weathered bronze/copper.

Quick update... I am out of decal paper AND photo paper, not sure how that happened. *glares at girlfriend* I think SOMEBODY was making chaos army banners and did not say anything about supplies being low.

so I am marking off the locations where I am placing the CorSec logo, and completing my stripes and detailing.

You should put this in the repaints and rebuilds thread and help us keep it on page one and popular.

Once it is completed I was planning to post it there.

This is the first of my ships I have to share with the community plus being a W.I.P., I do not want to muttle(is that my word?) up all the fine completed works the community has already posted.

Thanks for the positive feed back, this has been an interesting project.

Quick update,

The lack of decal paper and photo paper has caused me to get inventive. I got my trusty calipers and made some measurements.

I found a nice little CorSec logo, did a quick resize in Gimp and printed it:

My idea is to make a tiny plastic stencil to use to place my markings on the ship, so I placed a strip of cellophane [tape] over the logo...

Next, placed a secondary piece of tape over the first...

The plan here being to cut out the logo then peel back the tape revealing the stencil.
