QUACHIL! I HATE HATE HATE HATE HAAAAAAATE YOU!

By Avi_dreader, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I just had my second investigator devoured (a turn before they were able to spend their clue tokens to seal a gate— while carrying a find gate, an ally, good equipment, a blessing, and cash). How did this happen? Well, this time I drew his freaking destroy pile cards twice in a row. ... .... ....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

As for the previous investigator... He was knocked out THREE TIMES ON THE SECOND AREA OF THE OW! And no, I don't mean before doing the encounter. AFTER! BECAIJDSKLfgjsrgljherhsjogreohfrjlhfrjhlafsjhkldsafjhkldsjkldjsadhsjfk I HATE QUACHIL! (So far he's killed investigators holding a total of eighteen clue tokens— not to mention all the time he's wasted). GAH!

Eeee eee eee eee. Suck it Quachil! I drew Norman Withers as the replacement! Find Gate is mine again! Oh no.... He's going after Trish now! AAAA!

(Btw, I apologize for mocking Trish before, she's actually a very interesting and more or less well balanced character, I like her quite a bit even though it's much easier to fail her personal quest than achieve it).

Well you like tough game. Your wish is grandtited! wuhaha demonio.gif

::Laughter:: oh, well, I'm still going to win it. I decided to play nasty ;'D I just kamikazeed Trish into a bunch of four monsters in Church Green (seven toughness— did the horror check against a maniac) got her devoured by going down to zero san/stam, but the investigator that's going to replace her will get the trophies and her gate, so ::shrug:: it was a good deal considering she'd just spent her clues, had an injury and was broke (and I passed off all her other items). Heh... Eeeeexcellent :') her replacement is Silas Marsh— I was hoping for that (he'll be able t opick up the Devil's Reef and Y'ha-Nthlei clues easily (5) Errrr... On second thought, crap :' that **** Innsmouth Look rumor is still out and he's going to be stuck as the first player ;.( okay okay, no worries, I'll handle this ;'D back to the game. Oh, and I've killed marsh and just got two Elder signs, one in exchange for a curse, one by shopping. So the doom track's still fine (it's at eight and I'll be able to bump it down to seven— I also have an Arcane Insight). No... I don't think I'll be losing this game ;'D

Yeah, it's totally over, I'm just going to survive a few turns get Silash a gate (have him use find gate and then I'll use his personal mission ;'D) Right now I have three seals, terror track at three, full outskirts, four monsters on the base board, none in innsmouth, ten clues between the three investigators five clues on two board spots, not to mention a bunch of trophies, money, and items ;'D doom track's at eight. Yeah. This game's in the bag (as long as he doesn't get devoured in the next turn or two (watch me come back here screaming).

AAAAAAAAAAAH! I HATE HATE HATE! ;.( I realized that there was very low odds that I could wait for Marsh completely, so I decided to just get him a clue token and sacrifice him. What happens? He's eaten by the Insmouth Rumor that turn... BLAH! Anyways, I'm tired and I'm going to forfiet even though I still have some chance of winning, this game is just dragging on forever and ever (and having four investigators being eaten is very demoralizing (even if the doom track is only at eight). ::Sigh::

I'll give Innsmouth a rematch tomorrow ;') this one game was just too long and brutal (but I have a better understanding of Quachil now and I don't think he'd be able to do as well a second time). What I didn't understand before was the utility of wasting clue tokens on a dusting investigator (just to delay the passing of the first player token, and to prevent them from being knocked out in Other Worlds). Now I do. But my hate for Quachil shall burn eternal!

Edit: checked what's coming up with arcane insight— it looks like the deep ones will awaken Quachil... Regardless... HAAAAAAAAAATE!

Hoom... Four devourings in a three investigator game, three completely unconsentual ;') nice.

I might've missed it among all these threads full of insanity and raving lunacy gui%C3%B1o.gif , but what are you running, AH + IH only?

AH/IH/BGotW/KiY (and I just threw in CotDP Other World Cards last game ::grin:: I wanted the dual color cards) and Madness/Insanity/Epic Battle (I didn't mention that part earlier because I took it for granted).

Right now I'm only playing Innsmouth AOs and Innsmouth investigators. I might add in another component (can't decide if it should be Dunwich or KH) and allow a mixing of Innsmouth and pre-Innsmouth investigators after another game.

We played Quachil with the house rule that devoured investigators count towards the total number of investigators for games mechanics purposes (monster limit, gates limit, etc.) We had no idea what we were getting into (I didn't look at the dust deck before the game). Talk about a mounting sense of dread and despair.

Join the Quachil hate club :')

Btw, so far, I think playing Innsmouth with house rules is a bad idea. Although ::shrug:: lets see how I feel about this after adding in more expansions— on the one hand, it'll make things harder in theory— on the other hand, I tend to favor use of allies (and currently I only have base set allies, who mostly suck).
