Hey everyone,
I haven't had the opportunity to read the new Dark Heresy book yet. Are there any new Xenos races mentioned for the Askellon sector?
Hey everyone,

There is an Eldar Craftworld hidden in the sector.
There is a paragraph eluding to the presence of unique to this region alien races. But mostly in the form of strange ruins and buildings spread across worlds in the sector. But does not go into detail. This will likely be expanded upon in supplements. The book also mentions ork and eldar presence in the sector. Looking forwards to seeing what new xenos races they unveil.
Yeah, new Xenos is what interests me most about this reboot.
I guess we will not see many new races. If you are looking for inspiration, maybe take a look in the novels. In Eisenhorn Xenos the name giving inquisitor meets the xeno race of the Saruthi, which are quite disturbing and unique...I do not want to spoil any if anyone maybe wants to read the book
For a detailed description you can pm me.
I probably wish too much, but Slaught should not be forgotten...
YOu can just use those from Calixis/Koronus, as for most it would not be a problem to enter Askellon.
Besides that...I feel that Ordo Xenos so far is getting quite a lot of love, so theres hope for a big new Xenos race to put havoc on the sector.
Put a C'tan in a necron tomb buried under a hive on an imperial world.
So what if the players are no match for it? c'tan are awesome!

That's Mars in a nutshell, they've been doing fine so far.
The Deceiver: "Say, humans... How about you ditch that stuffy emperor and i ditch those ungrateful necrontyr and I'll be your new god? Sounds like a plan, yeah?"
It's called the dragon, however you may not be up to date. The Necrons killed a few C'tan and use their shards as power sources now.

I read the HH novel. But the dragon is suposed to still be buried on mars, right? nobody (except the emperor) knows its there.
I was just thinking for reasons why a c'tan would "team up" with the humans. And i deceide to use the "deceiver" to imply the c'tan would have ulterior motives.
And i tought the 'crons only managed to kill one, (and got the flayed one curse for their trouble) who else did they get?
Edited by Robin GravesI don't know, I prefer my necrons zombie robots with no personality. Not Space Tomb Lords.

But if they don't have personalities they you can't have psychotic necrons with delusions of godhood, armed with malfunctioning Clarketech, and cackling madly while they chase your players through eldritch cyclopean tombs on worlds that were dead before mankind took their first trembling steps into space. And that would be wrong.

Ancient shard of c'tan...transform this rusted body into MUMRAAAAA THE EVER-LIVING!!!!
Robin Graves - that is Brilliant!
But I now cannot get rid of the image of the of Mumra with glowing green eyes and holding a C'tan staff
DW
And now i got the immage of an inquisitor hunting Sly, Monkian, Jackalman and the other mutants.
Hammerhand and the berzerkers belong to chaos (Khorne) of course.
Also, next time I'm playing deathwatch i will make a librarian and name his forcesword "the Sword of Omens"
Altough i doubt my GM will let me take it as far as making a "Thunder Cats" space marine chapter.
The Thundercats would be considered abhumans and, if their mutation was stable, (Which it apparently is!) they might be accepted at some lvl by Imperial society. (Like Ratlings and Ogrynns) Besides, Cheetara was a babe! *Cringes* Don't hurt me CPS!
Mmmmm cheetara, droool-err what where we talking about? oh yeah 40k thundercats crossover.
I remember the Lunataks being awesome. They went after Mumra once! that takes balls. Theyd make for some serious powerfull xenos.
Any other 80s catoons we can turn into 40k stuff?
Silverhawks would be too obvious.
Blackstar? Zoids? Inhumanoids? Visionaries? Snorks?
I was also thinking silverhawks! The mechanicus wishes they had cybertech like that. (so do i actually)
Visionairies: Power staffs: chapter relic/chaos artifacts with special powers. Especially Cindar's staff of summoning something thats very close to either a daemon prince or a green bloodthirster...
Snorks: oh god! tiney underwater xenos... They would probably join the Tau, same for the smurfs.
Gijoe: imperial guard regiment based on COBRA. (not sure if they have "incompentent leadership" for Cobra Comander)
Transformers: Oh boy! Xenos AI constructs that mimic the imperiums holy vehicles? the mechanicus is gonna have kittens!
Inhumanoids: Decompose: daemon prince of Nurgle
Masters of the universe: So we have a guy with the strength of a primarch fighting whats esentially a chaos sorcerer. Nice!
