and the interceptor, and the ywing, and the firespray, and the xwing, and the core set, and the bwing.

Oh, you could also release rebel aces you know. Its been about 6 months or something since its been fully spoiled.

Not impressed.

Yes, please stop having such a high quality, incredibly popular product and either mass-produce cheap junk or ensure that people stop buying it.

They may have underestimated demand.

Quality or not, how long might it take to make a REPRINT. It's over a half a year for Interceptor, and it does not going to come next 3 months it seems...

That's not really an excuse. X-Wing has been popular for ages now; they should know how high demand is. Its silly that there are certain packs that can't be got anywhere except for a ridiculous price on the second hand market. It's the same in the UK for the X-Wing pack and the Falcon. They aren't in any stores, and if you want to get them online, you have to be prepared to pay double RRP.

The production time isn't shortened just because they've made it before. It's not as if you can call the factory and have 10.000 Interceptors delivered to you the next day.

If you have a 12-muffin oven, and you expand your product line to 36 different types of muffin, it takes 3 times as long to restock your muffin supply as it did when you only offered 12 different types of muffin. You could go out and buy two more 12-muffin ovens, or risk assuming future growth and get the REALLY fancy 48-muffin oven, but both of those options require a lot of expense, and they may feel that it would not be wise to expand their facilities in case muffin demand falls.

Also, if your best customer Muffins Muffins Muffins Inc (located close to you) decides they want to triple the amount of stock they buy from you, you may be inclined to fill their new order at the expense of Happy Muffin Ltd, a small trader located in a foreign country, who then has to wait longer for a restock.

Some people like cupcakes better..

Ffg have never had such a popular game before they are used to just releasing a board game seeing how it sells then maybe reprinting.

What's more you can only predict accurately what you need if your player base is stable, x-wing is growing in leaps and bounds, they don't want shortages but they also don't want to go bankrupt buying too much stock and having it sit unsold in a warehouse.

It's all those Falcons at the GenCon Finals. Now everyone wants one.

It's really impossible to predict what will be the next big thing.

FFG are aware of the supply problems. In their Gencon "chat" they stated that they brought on more factories to fill demand.

Falcons are a popular ship. I have checked all supply lines I know of and the only thing you can do now is wait for the reprint, buy one at a huge markup, or borrow one from somebody that plays.

The reprint is listed as "at the printer". Supposed to hit stores Q3 2014.

I think I should buy 10 and sell them on ebay in the states. ;).

Or a UK-ian could buy all 11 and have them shipped to him for another 6 euros in shipping.

If the situation is really that dire in the UK, look to the east and have them shipped in from Norway, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, The Netherlands, there's options without having to pay a profiteer.

Canada is a little closer to home than that. :P

Yeah, I know, but I've seen a lot of people from the UK in desparate need of a Falcon. ;).

I've seen a lot of people from the UK in desperate need of all x-wing stuff. ;)

I have 2 and have never actually used both in one game, I should at some point.

There is no shortage of x-wing stuff here in the states. There are no Y-wings or dice packs, but plenty of interceptors and falcons to be had! Dunno why there seems to be such a shortage elsewhere.

They have Falcons at both Wizards Tower and les Freres de Batailles here in Ottawa...

I can check and see if my FLGS has one. I'm going by today. They only charge MSRP plus shipping. If you want pm me.

As you can see, quite a bit of things are set for reprints. Things aren't nearly as bad as they were last year, but there will be times when the supply dries up while waiting for the reprint.

A lot of stuff is OOP/OOS at Mini Market now... I wanted to get three Firesprays, and two Hawks for Scum. I got the Hawks and two Tantives instead this month.

:)

My advice to anyone waiting for reprints is to just be patient, and in the meantime buy anything that's available now - before it too vanishes of the shelf
