Yeah, it's kinda going to suck, but we're basically tied up with one church thing after another for the next month basically. After that though, should we maybe plan and promote a couple "Get ready for the World Champsionship" events? Maybe a deck workshop night that could be advertised?

So today I talked with Carl at Metagames. I wanted to ask how Game of Thrones sales are compared to last year or the year before.

Carl informed me that metagames is moving about ten times as much product now during the LCG era (in dollar volumes) as they were during the CCG era! To me, that is just an astounding number! He said he is having to reorder more product about every week. I spent several years trying to grow the CCG GoT at metagames, with little success with the local Springfield players. But the LCG has truly provided an opportunity for new players to jump on without feeling intimidated by not having the past 3 years worth of cards. Metagames is even considering selling LCG singles!

It also looks like we will have at least 6 players participating in the championships at Gencon.

Singles? Really?

That would be fantastic! 3 of each chapter pack to get those pesky one per box cards gets to be pretty expensive for one card. : P

As for Gencon, I'm really working my brain to figure out what to play and how to play it. Without the experience that most of the veterans like youself have, I'm not sure as to what to play. The deck I have currently I believe could be VERY good when played correctly, but with Greyjoy making an appearance soon, I may have to rethink a few things.
