Imperial Assault was predicted, we all ignored it

By Torresse, in X-Wing

Hard to say. Could be both, but I lean towards master prediction. A thread only five people commented in is hardly something I would expect to blip on the radar of FFG. It's actually a pretty obvious move once FFG got the Star Wars licence. Either the new movies are going to be awesome and greatly increase interest in more star wars games, or they will blow and greatly increase interest in playing games set during the only good trilogy.

Either way, it's a good time to start developing new games for the LCG crowd, the RPG crowd, the Board Game crowd, and the Miniatures crowd.

:)

Consider this: What if that post was a FFG leak in disguise and everyone ignored it!

What if no one on this subforum cared because X-Wing isn't a dungeon crawler?

Or consider this: so many different people put out suggestions, that some of them are bound to be correct. But for each one that is correct, hundreds will be incorrect.

And lastly, wrong subforum.

Remember that thing with the Decimator? I'm not sure if they take advice from us or if we just throw so many crazy ideas around that one is bound to be right. If they listen, then there's a Gozanti in the pipeline. If they don't, then who knows? Prequel ships?

As for Imperial Assault, it surprised me. I'm not a fan of Descent and would have much rather seen an epic ground-combat game, such as GW's Battle of Five Armies. I'd actually be pretty happy with a BattleLore port.

I'm sure lots of people will like it, though. Probably not me.

Are you telling him off for discussing Imperial Assault in the X-Wing forum?

S&V will have a giant ship before the Imperials do, calling it now.

I dunno about that. The problem with the huge ships for the Empire is that any that would be small enough are obscure EU inventions. All S&V ships are obscure EU inventions so I don't see how they have an advantage. You thinking repainted Transports or Corvettes?
