Suggestion Regarding TIE Phantom Cloaking

Incredible ship, with an incredible unique ability.

But what if Phantom Cloaking worked like a Stealth Device when they were hit?

i.e. if a cloaked Phantom suffered a hit, it must immediately decloak? (no lose it permanently like Stealth Device, of course - just until they're able to cloak again).

Would nerf the high PS Phantoms more than the low PS Phantoms, I would imagine.

So I can do my normal round's worth of stuff, attack, cloak with ACD--and then if you hit me I can take advantage of the best repositioning in the game a second time, for free, in the Combat phase? That's not really a nerf at all, I think.

Terrible idea, I think it would need to drop by about 10 points, because any small breeze would blow it away after that. I don't see any issues with the way it plays now, it's a great ability but you pay a premium on a 4 hit ship.

Well, not if you can decloak outside of any firing arcs, is isn't. If you can only decloak into firing arcs then you're in trouble. Also means you'd be unable to do the decloak/attack/cloak combo in the following round - you'd have to choose whether to get out of dodge and recloak, or just attack as normal

I think cloaking is good as it is. Stress does a good job at shutting it down.

The reason why stealth device was a "discard after the first hit" is so that it stay evenly balanced with stuff like hull upgrade which for interceptors does the exact same thing after the first hit.

Now you can put SD on Phantoms to give it 5 agility when cloaked and 3 when de-cloaked until the first hit. Still I think the other modifications are better.

Still it makes you wonder why AdvCloak says Phantom Only while Styg does not, will there be other ships with cloak?

Alright, so like, what if you got rewarded for successfully hitting a Phantom? Like, maybe some kind of flat percentage, 'cause that would be sick. I'm thinking... an entire quarter of your hit points, just gone! Whoosh! That's a lot, right? It seems like it.
