Homebrew Race PEACH

By Neredan Kaz, in Game Masters

Hi guys.

I am not sure if this is the correct forum, if it is not please let me know.

Currently I am planning to start a new campaign set in the Unknown Territories and I will like to update my homebrew material to the new game system. I would like to start with one species first, showing only the mechanic aspect and a minor fluff, more to come once when found my original notes :( .

ARAWAK

The Arawaks are the master craftsmen of my game. If you want quality you buy Arawak equipment, period. They are resourceful, smart, creative and loyal. Althought not as hardy as other species, Arawaks have developed keen senses to help them survive in their native world of Nudul. They form tight communities and family plays an important role in the Arawaks lives.

The trust of an Arawak must be earned, but when you do, you have a friend for life.

They lifespan is about 400 years.

Since this is my first attempt to run a campaign using the FFG system I would like to check if its balanced at all.

ARAWAK

SPECIES ABILITIES

BRAWN 2

AGILITY 2

INTELLECT 2

CUNNING 3

WILLPOWER 2

PRESENCE 1

• Wound Threshold: 10 + Brawn

• Strain Threshold: 10 + Willpower

• Starting Experience: 100 XP

• Special Abilities: Arawaks begin the game with one rank in Vigilance. They still may not train Vigilance above rank 2 during character creation.

• Master Craftsmen: Arawaks may add Advantage_zpsf7d91906.png to all Mechanics checks they make.

Arawak final version, revised:

ARAWAK

SPECIES ABILITIES

BRAWN 1

AGILITY 2

INTELLECT 3

CUNNING 2

WILLPOWER 2

PRESENCE 2

• Wound Threshold: 10 + Brawn

• Strain Threshold: 10 + Willpower

• Starting Experience: 100 XP

• Special Abilities: Arawaks begin the game with one rank in Vigilance. They still may not train Vigilance above rank 2 during character creation.

• Master Craftsmen: Arawaks start with one rank in the Gearhead talent.

Edit: Replaced Perception with Vigilance as it makes more sense, as they developed their keen senses in order to survive in their hostile home world.

Edit 2: Changed bonus to Intellect instead of Cunning, as it makes more sense for their story. Also edited background to reflect changes.

PS: Posted final version.

That seems to be balanced just fine.

No complaints. I agree with HD.

Yeah, nothing leaps out as being problematic. Good job.

Thank you guys for your responses. I will add more to the species when I find my notes!

Feel free to use them in your games, but if you do please let me know how did it worked. Currently I am going to test them in the FaD Beta.

I have been thinking of replacing the Perception skill bonus for a Vigilance skill bonus since they developed their keen senses to survive their world, what do you think?

As said in the first post I replaced their Perception bonus with a Vigilance bonus.

As said in the first post I replaced their Perception bonus with a Vigilance bonus.

Just an FYI, but you left one instance of Perception in place in the description:

"Special Abilities: Arawaks begin the game with one rank in Vigilance. They still may not train Perception above rank 2 during character creation."

That's just PEACHy...

Thanks for catching up that! I must say that I have tweaked the Arawakk. Unfortunately I forgot about this post at all and created a new One.

However I will update the info here.
