Kalamazoo Michigan area players

By BlazeOGlory, in X-Wing Organized Play

A couple of friends and I have recently started playing. We are looking for more players in the Kalamazoo area. We generally play Sunday afternoons. Anybody interested? If you have an established group and want new blood that works too.

I am also new to the game but in the Lansing area. Check out the central MI thread I posted details about a tournament in zeeland on sept 6th. I don't think that is too far from you.

There's is a group or two down in the Zoo. Odessey Games ran an Imdaar event a few months back and had a surprisingly large number of attendees.

If you're on Facebook there's an X-wing Michigan group that's got players from across the state. I know some of the KZoo crowd is on it.

Hey, resident of portage. I have a number of friends who play as well. Where do you usually play on Sundays?

We usually play at my brothers apartment near Drake and West Main. Where do you guys set up?

My house or at the odyssey if I can get out (family comes first!). I'd be down to join sometime. I have three 3x3 mousepad mats and epics as well.

Like I said, we play Sundays. We usually start around 2 in the afternoon. If you want in let me know and I'll pm you our info. Look forward to flying with/against you.

I recently left Kalamazoo, but as I was getting ready to move (of course) both Odyssey and Fanfare were talking about starting to host regular X-wing game days, and both have held tourneys in the past.

Yeah, I won their Imdaar Alpha event a few months ago and have played once there since then. The trouble comes in dedicating four or more hours during summer weekends to gaming. It's a tough call, but a lot of times I'd rather be out on a lake, in a boat, beer in hand, than gaming (as awesome as it is!).

Hello x-wingers! I'm trying to rekindle the Kalamazoo, MI flame for x wing. A good friend and I played at Fanfare on Westnedge and Kilgore on Sunday

The store had a block of time set aside for us, but only we showed up. We played of course and received a couple of "cools" from patrons. I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone is interested.

I'm in the Kalamazoo area. Totally new to X-wing. Just started playing at Fanfare whenever I get the chance. Hit me up if you want to play sometime.

Hello Kalamazoo and St. Joseph, Michigan counties!

My name is Rob and I am heading up to make Kalamazoo "on the map" for X-Wing.I live in Three Rivers area (25 minutes straight south of Kalamazoo in St. Joseph County... message me if you are close by and want a game!). I am close friends with the owners of ChronoCade Game Store in Richland and have been given permission to get information and put into motion on making ChronoCade an integral part of X-Wing.. they have several ships in-stock and enough game space and tables for several games. I will also be doing Demo's there and try to increase the game's awareness and popularity. I have enough ships and 3 FFG gaming star mats to do this easily.

I am also looking into making ChronoCade a part of the FFG X-Wing Organized Play and try to make it a place for Store Championships. HOWEVER... before I can truly look deeper into that, we NEED players first.

On top of that.. I am the creator and "figure head" of the LoreMaster's War Game Club of Michigan and our website has it's own X-Wing board. LoreMaster's is also mobile friendly and Tapatalk enabled as well as connected to share via our private Facebook Group. We are comprised of over 30 War Game members and all local to the Kalamazoo and St. Joseph counties.. making it easier to get games in, encourage hobby painting and skills, schedule tournaments, find model deals, and grow as a community with like interests (including X-Wing, Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar, Infinity, Malifaux, Historicals (Wings of Glory WWII, Flames of War, Hail Caesar/Warhammer Ancient Battles, etc.), and more!

If you have any interest in a part or all of this.. you can visit my club's website at http://loremasters-wargames.proboards.com/ and I am Fadril there. You can also PM me via facebook at https://www.facebook.com/robert.hensell.

You can also visit ChronoCade's Facebook Page for more information about their store, hours, and address here: https://www.facebook.com/ChronoCade?fref=nf

I'm TRULY hoping to hear back from all of you as I'd love to get a very strong X-Wing community into Kalamzoo and Three Rivers areas. Thank you for your time and "FLY CASUAL!"
