I just discovered X-Wing Miniatures a couple months ago through a friend of mine, and am absolutely loving it. But he and I can't get together but once every couple weeks or so to play and I have yet to find anyone else in our town willing to give it a try. Has anyone come up with some good ideas for playing the game solo?

If I had to game solo I would try starting off building a squad of ships.Put together pilots and upgrades to hit 60/100 point build totals.
Practice moving the ships together, Slight turns, Hard turns, K turns. Once you have tight formation flight down practice using osbtacles IE. Asteroids from the Core set are perfect. Use tight formations to navagate. Try breaking up the tight formation and bringing your ships back together in a close to tight formation.

Getting fimilar with your ships, how they fly, how the move with other ships is very important. Rolling dice not so much.
