'Blink' makes sense for the Phantom. I think the best one for the Advanced is 'bright', that being the go-to term for experimental TIEs. Whale makes sense for the GR-75 (that must be what's been tickling the back of my mind when I get mine out, thank you for saying it ), and I think the official-ish term for the shuttle is 'lamb'. (But a breed of bovine works too.) Um... so, that leaves X-wings, YT-1300s, A-wings, (I kind of like 'emberspit' or something similar for the Firespray), B-wings, ('hawk' just makes sense for the HWK-290), E-wings, (take your pick for the Z-95), the YT-2400, and the Decimator. (Somehow 'deci' just doesn't cut it...) Oh, and the CR-90, Virago, Scyke, and Aggressor.

A-wings are "slims", B-wings are "crosses", and if I remember correctly Headhunters are "skulls".

Well on the topic of slang here is some I noticed for the up-coming S&V cross faction ships.

Z-95 Headhunter = ScumZie-95 or ScumZies.

Y-Wing = Scum-Wing (Scum-Wings)

HWK-290 = ScumHawk (ScumHawks)

Actually for a while they were refered to as Albino Cosmic/Galactic Manatees.. but that was months ago.. Bovine has been popular, I could live with bantha.
