So I've been delving into the Jan Ors as crew and this question came up. Her ability reads...

"Once per round, when a ship within range 1-3 performs a focus action or is assigned a focus token, you may assign it a evade token instead."

So by reading the card, I take a focus action and get an evade token. Meaning if I PTL, I can’t take another focus action to get a focus token, because you can’t perform the same action twice. That’s how I see it. Am I right?

Jan's ability is merely swapping a token, so you still can't perform the same action twice, regardless of the outcome (token swap). The way you are reading it seems correct to me.

What you could potentially do is use an action to Focus, use Jan to switch it to an Evade, and then use PtL to Evade (assuming you had both in the first place).

Two evades is always better than one in a furball.

So PTL + Jan Crew + RecSpec + MF Title on the falcon ends up with 1 focus token and 2 evade tokens?
