The map grid is excellent when making scenarios.
Yet, when we compare to the missions published by FFG, there's no grid in their map setup images.
Turned the map grid off once I was done designing, but it still showed up when I went to preview/publish it.
If there was a way to toggle the map grid when it came to publishing (I didn't find it, if there is), I felt my map would have looked a bit better.
Second comment is it would be nice to permit images to be embedded in the mission text body.
My ideal world would have X-Wing Mission Control be able to host user-submitted images and place them into the body of the text at will. I realize that my ideal world is too optimistic, as mentioned here:

But if you look back to the FFG missions (again), the tokens being used were identified in the body of the text via picture.
If X-Wing Mission Control didn't want to allow users to upload images, then at least having a ready-made list of images to embed would be nice. This applies also to things like hit, critical hit, evade, etc. In my specific mission text, I'd have liked to use the Elite Pilot Talent icon instead of spelling it out, for instance.
