I can't decide which one I like better. In BF2 you can do space battles, but the ships have really un-canon armament...but I can't decide which game I like better.

Exactly. Battlefront 1 for actual battles, 2 for campaigns and space battles.

Both. I have a serious fire burning for the 3rd one too, if the rumors can be believed.

2 for sure. While I miss the Rhen Var maps like nobody's business, Pandemic performed some much needed balance fixes, most significantly by nerfing the Droideka and the hero units. Overall, I think 1 had the better maps and 2 played amazingly better. That's why my favorite PC mod of all time is the BF2 conversion pack, which returns all the BF1 maps to 2's better gameplay.

As to BF3, I'm very skeptical. After DICE screwed the pooch on Battlefields 3 and 4 by trying so hard to be Call of Duty that that lost sight of what made Battlefield unique, I will remain skeptical until the game is in my PS4 and I'm playing it.

Battlefront 1 by a mile. 1 had greatly superior maps, helped in no small part by the inclusion of air combatants. Bespin: Platforms, Dune Sea, and Rhen Var: Harbor are some of my favorite FPS maps of all time.

BF3 had better restore X-Wings and TIE fighters to ground maps.

While the space battles were cool, the lack of aircraft in BF2 was disappointing. It really made ground battles that much more interesting. Here's hoping BF3 kicks some serious butt.

I like the first on better. I didn't enjoy the space battles, you really can't fight inside a ship. (I wanted to see the bridge of a star destroyer. I was disappointed).

Also in the first 1 the Jedi Heros while NPCs were immune to blaster fire, you had to learn some tricks in order to kill one (grenades work well )

In the second one sure being a hero was cool but they didn't feel so bad ass and were easier to remove. Also the non-jedi heroes were the worst, they sucked compared to the Jedi heroes especially after they ran out of ammunition. With the health depleting if you don't get any kills, once Boba Fet runs out of blaster ammo he is about as good as Salarac chow.

So in my conclusion Starwars Battlefront was better than Battlefront 2. I hope they fix what I said was wrong in Battlefront 2 when they release Battlefront 3. I hope for better space battles with the ability to actually control the ships and have a bridge and what not. We will see.
