Hey, Star Destroyer fans...

I'm still butt hurt over mass effect threes ending though all those hours invested to get three identical endings...

The wound is still open.

Was honestly more angry about the lazily photoshopped stock image that was Tali's face.

melminiatures, you don't need to mention that the Crippled sections no longer have upgrades or actions. Simply not having them on the crippled side of the card is enough. Your SD rules look interesting though, I'll read them when I have more time.

Honestly after all the hype over how bad the ending was, it didn't seem that bad. I mean, it wasn't good but I was braced for something much worse.

Op: Any word on price? I am assuming at least $500...

Some are guessing that it will be closer to $200-$300, based on the 1:350 Yamato with motorized features and lighting going for $400.

Am I the only one who thinks this thing is kind of disappointing? The fit seems to be pretty bad, the side turrets are a blobby mess, etc. If I'm going to spend a lot of money on a huge display piece like this I'd rather spend a little more and get better quality.

Are you sure you're not looking at pics of the old AMT Star Destroyer? Because according to all reports this one has great fit, sharp detail and looks fantastic.

See, this is actually a great idea, because having it flat means that it CAN be smaller, it's just further away. I'd let ships fly over it too, they just roll a damage dice like clipping an asteroid. How did you get it printed? Is it printed on A1 card (23.4" x 33.1")?

Only shame is you only have a measly 30 points to spend on fighters, so it's really just a SD verses a rebel fleet. Now 400pts...

All i can say (despite the fact i probably shouldn't on a Star Wars board) Is bugger the Star Destroyer i want that big **** Arcadia....Although admittedly the one i have is a better scale for the Yamato ships

Did you play it at release with the original endings or later after they changed it due to fan outrage, because if it's a case of the later then that one's less offensive but still a disappointing end that does not reflect the choices we made.

They promised us our choices would matter but ME3 failed to fulfil that promise which is what hurt us, then they insulted us by saying our outrage was because they added the option for Shepard to be gay or because he/she died at the ending.

I don't know why they went into production on ME4 the community has already vowed to boycott it.

The only game I didn't preorder was the original game, and I did get that within its first or second month. I've been here since it started up, man. I looooooved Mass Effect. Amazing Sci-Fi. So I know all about ME3's original ending.

And it's EA. They're even making the Sims 4, even though there's literally no demand for it. There was no demand for Battlefield 4 either.

Ahhhh sh@t where did I put those shelf brackets....<retires to corner of room to slowly rock back and forth>

That match over there was 377 points each. But we thought a 450 points match would be the way to go (so you may have lots of rebel fighters and a corvette and a few fighters and the isd) The ISD and a few fighters work extremelly well helping each other. Even if the star destroyer gets destroyed, the remaining TIE fighters, even if there are still a bigger number of rebels, can take them out.

Yes, it was on a A1. Although now Ive printed it in vinyl (like a mat) so it doesnt get damaged using it and folding it.

I went to the printers today on the way back from work to have a set made. The only card I don't really get is the effect on the destroyed bridge card. I am assuming it means:

"When the Bridge is crippled, roll one attack dice for each section remaining with shields at the start of your turn. For every hit or critical rolled, remove one shield."

No, you choose a section that has shields and you roll a 1 attack die against it. Basically, every turn you may lose a shield of the ship, but only shields.

The bridge tower has the shield generators on it - crippling the bridge therefore compromises the shields..

This looks awesome. Will have to get one printed myself.

One error?

Should that be "Fore Section", "Port Section" and "Starboard Section" use the CR90 FORE damage deck?

There was a hidden fourth ending to ME3 apparently, if you have done all the quests etc you can kill the Reapers and Shepherd survives. I'd totally go for that one... I never played ME3 though.

Actually, there are five:

1) Blue: Merge with the Reapers and control them.

2) Green: Combine Synthetic and Organic life.

3) Diet Red: Destroy the Reapers, and Die.

4) Full Red: Destroy the Reapers, and Live.

5) White: Tell the reapers to go **** themselves, Reapers win and Liara creates an AI to pass the plans along to the next civilization.

Mel,

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing this.

Anyone happen to have the Star Destroyer image without the zones on it? We are wanting to print it near scale and I'm having a hell of a time finding a good high resolution top down image of a Star Destroyer.

Why don't you want the zones?

I settled for printing it on glossy A1 size photograph paper and it came out amazing. I think printing it out to actual scale would be way to big. I just pretend mine is far away, and at A1 it's not oppressively big.

We're doing an epic game for the end of a league and the zones don't really work for what we had in mind. We've played on a surface that large before and it worked well, thought we'd try it on a Star Destroyer. I'll be printing it on 36" rolls, probably almost 2 wide.

This never happened, I'da found it.

The hidden fourth ending is walking away. Everyone dies though.

Five Endings. See my earlier post.
