Star Wars Holiday Special 1978
O_O 3PO actually moves his arms in more than one plane of movement. I don't know how I feel about this.
I watched it once after partaking in a seriously large amount of illegal substances.
Seriously kids, don't do drugs
Edited by Breaking The LawIt's Actually the first ever mention and picture of boba fett
Luke crash-lands again...does that guy ever land without plowing into an unknown bog?

Parts of that show will make you think you're on drugs, even if you've never touched that stuff in your life. ![]()
I actually own it, but only because my brother bought the DVD for me for Christmas a couple years ago. It was simultaneously the best and worst present I ever received. Right now I can only find one copy for sale on eBay, which is currently going for $49 (I don't think it is worth that amount).
This is the only way I could watch it.

This guy is 2nerdy4me. Plinkett would be great to do a review of this, but I think it would give Mike Stocklowski (or whatever, **** Minnesota names) an aneurism watching this.
What about those two Ewok movies they made after ROTJ? Are they canon?
Never seen the holiday special. I will continue not seeing it for as long as I possibly can.
Hmm pin you down we will, strong are the leather bindings.
And that's why Yoda was called "Master Yoda"
Lumpy rocks!

Really hope they use this as the artwork for the new S&V Boba Fett card

You underestimate my power!
DON'T TRY IT!

This is the better option to watch:
Gotta love the Fett tuning fork. But in all seriousness that is the worst thing ever created except for Turkish Star Wars
The MST3K / Rifftrax guys did a riff of this back in the day. See if you can find it. I felt it took the soul-crushing edge off it. ![]()
Of course later works were not a lot better....

Before those movies I thought Keanu Reaves was the most wooden actor out there but those "love" scenes are so **** awkward it's just not how humans interact.

I've watched it once or twice since it first aired, usually as part of some scheme to get some poor schmuch who has never seen it to watch it. It's actually pretty funny if you can watch someone else watch it instead of having to pay attention to it yourself.
Yeah it's truly horrible.
But watching someone else watch it is like watching someone else watch 2 Girls 1 Cup (I imagine). Doubtless amusing, but you'd want to be facing away from the screen.

"I don't like sand. It's all crystalline and silicony - just like my Master. He's all crystalline and gets everywhere and tells me what to do AND I HATE HIM!"
I haven't actually watched this in AGES, and I can't now because I'm at work.
But I was curious, is Boba Fett actually NAMED in this? Because watching ESB again a few nights back, I was surprised to realize that EVERYONE just calls him "The Bounty Hunter." Unless I missed one, no one ever used his name. (I'm pretty sure he's named in the credits, of course, but that hardly counts.)
His name is yelled by Han in ROTJ right before he hits him in the jetpack.
I need to re-watch it if only for the animated segment that actually introduced Boba Fett.
On the Star Wars BluRay Set it's an actually an easter egg in the Empire Strikes Back special features, if you go to Boba Fett's armor, and then there's an option on there I forget what it's called, but it just has the animated featurette. I've never actually seen the rest of the Holiday Special, kind of want to just because of how bad I've heard it was.
Holiday Special? I'd rather watch pink five.
